[Goblin]

He winced and noted that he really should've made her promise. Normally, his instinct would be to sweet-talk her, trick her, tell her whatever she wanted to hear so she would fulfill his purpose--but this time, with what he'd asked her to do, he couldn't go that route.

"Yeah, we are," he said frankly. "But we're not gonna let you die, or...anything else. Like I said, you've got no reason to trust us. If you want someone else to go with Wraith and make damn sure she pulls that trigger if you're in trouble, you can do that. But if I didn't come up with all this, my sister would've tried it alone, and I know you don't care about that, but I do. She'd go to Ericson herself, hoping he wouldn't recognize her, and if he did...anyway, it's up to you."

[Ershey]

"I'd do it if Mush comes along with Wraith," said Ershey after a couple of moments. She trusted him but was wary about Mush's temper around Ericson, especially after seeing him attempt to knock out Ericson's thug. She just hoped Wraith could handle him well enough. "And if something goes wrong, you know we'll go after you two."

[Goblin]

He nodded, unsurprised, because Mush was in his mental catalog. Shy, good-natured, hung around with Racetrack and Kid Blink, and currently seeing Ershey. Goblin had figured she would choose him. "Wraith'll have to teach him to disappear. It's an added risk, but if he follows her lead, they should be all right." He shoved away a fuzzy grey kitten mewing at him from the top step, and it hissed and bounded under the porch. "Meet you here night after tomorrow, then?" he said briskly, like he was concluding a business meeting.

[Ershey]

"Got it," muttered Ershey, standing up and already ready to leave. She needed some time alone to let everything sink in. She hadn't seen Ericson since he threw a fit about her lack of payments and if he was capable of messing up her face the way he did just for that, she didn't even want to think about what would happen if they didn't succeed. "This better work, Goblin."

[Goblin]

"I know," he said, leaning back against the porch pillar with his eyes closed. He felt very tired all of a sudden. Maybe if it did work, he'd go out and have a drink to celebrate. Play some chess with the masters in Central Park. Maybe even try and make a friend or two.

((New thread for the epic plot to unfold in? Though we should maybe wait till Wraith's (hopefully) recruited Tristan, and Raven and Tag are on. I love that there are now four players and five characters involved in this crazy plot. ;D))
