"I saved this guy from being beaten to death on the street and he turned out to be this factory owner who offered me a job and his daughter," spot explained, glancing around their apartment. "I thought I could stay outta this life, but Rae found me." spot chuckled.

"Yeah, pretty much. I didn't even know the guy had a daughter until he started inviting me over for Sunday brunch and dinners during the week....I just thought he was grateful I saved his life but it turned out he wanted his daughter to have a husband that he could trust," Spot explained, shrugging.
"But I can't just dump her because I think he would fire me and I'm actually good at this job, Tristan. I order people around and make sure their work gets done. And the pay is great. I can probably get you a job."
