He blushed a little, rubbing the back of his neck with his hand. "Well, uh, I guess it was two weeks after we started all this. We were sittin on my couch, and ya got a little weepy-eyed over that damn 'save the animals' commercial or whatever. You blamed it on being on the rag, but I knew it's just cuz, deep down, you're a lot softer than ya pretend to be." He shrugged, a little embarrassed. "I almost told ya right then that I loved you, but I was afraid you'd leave."

He gave her a lopsided grin, still feeling a little awkward. He kissed her back, letting his hands run over her still wet hair. "Why am I so amazing?"

"You know, you don't have to take care of me all the time, only sometimes." She kissed him softly. "I'm gonna start making dinner," Raven glanced at her cat curled up on the couch and then back up at Moonshine.

I'll show you nice, Darcy thought as he lifted his head and stared at Moonshine. He slowly stood up, stretched and walked over to Moonshine, sitting down beside him.
"Babe, what do you want?" Raven poked her head out of the kitchen, "I have those chicken drumstick things or steak that I can throw in the broiler?"

Darcy eyed him warily and then Moonshine hit just the right spot. he tilted his head to the side and closed his eyes. Okay, maybe the imibicle wasn't so bad.
"Okay!" Raven said cheerfully. She took out the steak, spread some seasoning on it and tossed it into the boiler.

Moonshine smirked down at the cat, but kept scratching and rubbing idly. "I think yer cat's finally warming up to me." He called out to her from the living room.
