Tristan held tight to the rope and slowly started to lower her down over the side. "I can't believe Jack and Dave did this..." he grumbled to himself.

Kennedy, still in serious mode, started to do a perimeter check. She started quietly pacing around the rooftop, watching over the edge for anyone and anything suspicious.

Tristan continued to lower her gently. "Kennedy, check if she made it to the window yet." He said.

(("All right, gently, Dave, gently...that's good...that's good!" *cue immature giggles*))
Wraith kept an eye on the window as it grew closer and closer, and tried to ignore the considerable discomfort of dangling from a roof with a rope around her waist. When she was level with the window, she tugged on the rope to let Tristan know. Then she took a deep breath, reached through the bars, and knocked on the glass.
After a moment, the window opened to reveal some sandy-haired kid. He looked bored, like this was his job. "Who ya wanna see?"
"Uh...I'm looking for Goblin."
The kid stared at her. "Oh."
"What? Is he here or not?" Wraith demanded somewhat hysterically.
"Yeah, he's...I'll see if I can...hang on."
The kid disappeared into the room, and Wraith peered impatiently through the glass, trying to catch sight of her brother.
((And now I'm gonna log in as Goblin, because it's been a while.))

Goblin was involved in a very intense conversation with a few of his fellow inmates. Until Ten-Pin came over nervously and said, "There's a girl outside the window for you." At which point he didn't know whether to be worried or angry or profoundly relieved, but he went to the window, and sure enough, there she was. "Hi, Clara."
Wraith sputtered incoherently.
"Yeah, I know. But I'm fine, all right?" He knew perfectly well that he didn't look fine--he looked strung out and on the edge of a breakdown, and Clara wasn't stupid. He peered out the window and tried to get a look at the roof. "Who on earth...?"
"Tristan," Wraith answered.
"Oh, great. What'd you promise him this time?"
"Nothing. He's a friend now. Sebastian, what the hell is going on and how am I supposed to get you out of here?"
"I don't know." Goblin sighed. "I didn't plan that far."
She looked like she might break the window and throttle him, so it almost came as a relief when there were footsteps outside the door. "Get outta here!" Goblin hissed, and vanished from the window.
Wraith tugged frantically on the rope, freaking out on several different levels.

Kennedy urgently helped pull Wraith back up.
"Clara?" she grinned.

Tristan yanked her up as fast as he could, which was pretty quickly since she was the tiniest girl he'd ever seen.
"Well?" He asked her once she was safely on the roof.

"Clara," Wraith confirmed in a whisper, making a face at Kennedy before turning to Tristan. "He's in there. I think the warden's coming, so we better wait a couple minutes before we climb down." She shook her head, feeling dazed and resisting the urge to burst into tears. At least he wasn't dead. Now she just needed to come up with the rescue portion of this plan.
((See intense Wraith/Risk thread in O'Reagan's, muahaha.))

"Alright. Now we gotta think of a way to get him out, obviously." Tristan sighed heavily and lit a cigarette. "I haven't been in there since I'm eight years old and Alex Wisely paid for me to get out. Though I do distinctly remember basement access..."
He smirked.

Kennedy took Wraith's hand without giving the action much flourish -- she knew she was upset.

"That might help," she said a bit doubtfully, thinking it over. "It'd help even more if I had some kinda connection..." Though Goblin had plenty of connections, and they didn't seem to be helping him any. "We gotta get outta here first, then think of something solid. Nevada's gonna kill me if you get caught," she said, thinking she'd have to do something stunningly nice for that girl someday.
She smiled gratefully at Kennedy, the weak smile that meant she was just managing to hold herself together. "We should head down."

"Yeah, we can talk it over more at my place," Tristan said and finished his cigarette, he put it out with his boot. He started to climb down off the roof.

Wraith cast one final desperate glance down at the window, squeezed Kennedy's hand, and headed down after him, slower and clumsier than she'd been on the way up. When she got Sebastian out of here, she was going to make him tell her everything he never had, even though she wasn't sure she wanted to know.

When Wraith got closer to the floor he helped her down. He could tell she was upset too and sighed heavily.
"You can stay at my place with Kennedy tonight if you want." He told her.

She blushed and glanced up at Kennedy. "If it's all right with her. But what'll Nevada think? Thanks for everything," she added, having pretty much given up on trying to figure out why he was so nice to her. She supposed she was just that pathetic.
