"Well, stop asking about other guys' girls then," she smirked. "And if it's friends you're looking for, you picked a hell of a drinking buddy." She sipped her drink, though it would only increase the original buzz that never really went away. She didn't know how they were going to get home at this rate, and she wasn't really one to consider consequences--she just wanted him as drunk as she was, damn it.

"Good," grinned Risk, raising his glass for a toast. "That's all I need!"
Nevermind trying to keep control. He wanted to have a fun time and sober or not, he was enjoying his time with Macbeth. He was glad he finally found someone he could have a real conversation with despite the fact that they were inebriated.

She clinked her glass against his and took a swig, eyeing him to make sure he did too. When she didn't even feel the liquor going down, she knew she was in trouble. He'd be getting her whole life story before long, if he asked any questions at all. And if she didn't pass out first.

Risk felt the nausea start and that was when he knew he had one too many. He kept his arm on the edge of the bar to keep himself steady.
"Y'know, Macbeth..." he started, hearing himself slur. "It's a good thing you came back to Manhattan. Or else I'll just be so bored with no one to drink with."

She laughed and leaned on the bar herself, sipping away and feeling both triumphant and woozy. "Manhattan's full of people to drink with. You must like getting insulted, is all," she announced.

"The only person crazy enough to drink with me," she agreed. "Thank God I found you...I'd be drinking alone." Her glass was almost empty and her words were definitely not flowing smoothly anymore.

"It's good to know we're on the same page, then," laughed Risk. Standing up from his seat, he clumsily offered his hand to Macbeth. "Ready for another go?"

"Why not?" Macbeth agreed, bounding up from her stool. Her stages of drunkenness clearly didn't go in the same order as other people's--she'd finally found the happy stage. She took his hand and followed him out onto the floor.

Glad that a lively tune was playing, Risk twirled Macbeth before pulling her closer. He swayed to the music, not caring about how foolish or drunk he looked. He was finally enjoying his time in Manhattan and he didn't want it to stop.
"Just let me know if you want to sit down," he yelled above the music.

"Sit down! Ha!" scoffed Beth, who would probably fall down after one or two more twirls. She leaned against him and swayed along with him, because swaying is one thing that's pretty easy when you're drunk, and watched the room swirl around her, because looking at him made her flustered. She had a ridiculous crush. It would probably be gone by morning, but there you had it.

Risk simply laughed, moving with the music as he pulled her closer. He wasn't sure if it was the alcohol or the music but he felt content. He was content to have her in his arms and it was an odd feeling that he hadn't felt in a while.
"You're crazy," he whispered in her ear. "But a good crazy. The kind I like."

Macbeth, who would normally have thought he was crazy for this remark, was no longer fully functioning. "That's nice. You're nice," she murmured appreciatively. "I'm not nice, though, I'm not sure if you really noticed that, but you'll figure it out eventually, so...sorry I'm not, 'cause it's been very nice so far."
There were a great many aspects to her personality, drunk or sober...and every last one of them was a pessimist.

"You're nice," he laughed, twirling her around once more for good measure. "You're nice to me. And you're nice to talk to. You're nice enough!"

She wobbled as he twirled her and laughed. "You don't know nothing. I'm a really bad person. And you're prob'ly a serial killer," she said cheerfully, steadying herself on his arm.
