Nevada smiled at her kids, 'you two are lucky I love you!' she said grinning over at Tristan.
'Mom I hear you say that to dad all the time!' Mikey said.
'well your dad does things that upset me as well....which is why he's lucky I love him.'

Mikey stopped eating, his fork midway to his mouth as he looked between his parents. They were going crazy...he knew it. It was just a matter of time.

Nevada laughed, almost spitting out her food. She laughed harder when she saw Mikey's face.
'Trust me son when you're older you'll understand.' she said before finishing off her stew and letting out a satisfied sigh.
