Goblin rolled his eyes and munched on his brownie. He more-or-less much knew Clara had a girl in Brooklyn, he just wanted to know if Sapphy knew it. "You think they'll let 'em out soon?" he asked, referring to the factory workers. How long could you throw someone in jail for protesting, anyway?

He wavered in the doorway. "Thanks. Seems like we don't really tell each other much anymore." From what he heard, Sapphy and her brother were close. He was kind of jealous.

Goblin was now looking at her with some concern. "Are you all right? I mean...should you maybe be talking to someone...who's not me?" He was well aware that she had a brother and a boyfriend, for starters.
