"Now we listen for a second," Goblin said, his voice dropping to a whisper. They were standing in a narrow hallway at the top of the stairs, and from behind a door at the end of the hall, they could hear a buzz of low conversation, and a whole lot of giggling. A smile spread over Goblin's face. "Perfect. Now we just gotta get above 'em," he said as if it was the easiest thing in the world. His eyes were on the ceiling, where the outline of a trapdoor was just visible. "Think you can get that open if I boost you up?"

Moonshine sent her a wink. "Now, what say you ya come back inside with me? Find that fella' a' yours and win 'im over?" He offered her his hand.

Script looked up and arched her brow. "Well, I guess so." She turned to him and flashed him a smirk. "You seem like you got some muscle to you." She tiptoed over so she was standing beneath the door, licking her bottom lip and eying it warily.

Jack laughed, "Yeah I guess so," he grinned at her. "So whatcha say to another drink and another dance after?" He was actually enjoying himself.

Kathryn sighed deeply, her breath vaporizing into the chilly air, and shot him a sorrowful look.
"I really should be getting back home... My father's giving a speech in Central Park tomorrow, and I have to be there. Not for lack of trying to get out of it, though..."

Moonshine laughed. "Come 'ere, Sugar." He grabbed hold of her and pulled her into a hug, planting a noisy, playful kiss on her mouth before helping her over to her carriage. "You have a good night, now, darlin'. Come look for me over on Duane Street some time."

"Maybe I will," she replied with a chuckle. Her footman opened the door to the carriage, and she stumbled a bit as she climbed inside.
Once she was on her way home, she had to admit the evening did not go as planned. And she wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing.

Moonshine waved her off, letting out a low whistle. He wasn't quite sure what to make of that girl. He liked her, he knew that much. But, boy, was she a handful. He made his way back inside, and back to the bar.

"Well, I did climb a lot of trees as a kid," he said, smirking back, and came over and rested his hands on her waist--and raised an eyebrow at her so she wouldn't take it the wrong way, because honestly, it had to be hard not to. "Ready?" He boosted her up to the trapdoor. "Careful, a ladder's gonna drop when you open it."

"I say it sounds great!" Tara said happily, following him to the bar. "I'm surprised you aren't sick of me yet. Most people get sick of me pretty fast. They might not say so, but I can see plainly enough that they just want me to go away," she said, cheerful as ever.

"Well that ain't very nice. I think you're just a nice girl who wants to have a good time," he shrugged. "Probably ain't really accepted in your circles though, huh?" He got them two more beers and handed one to Tara before leaning against the bar.
((HA I think Jack kind of likes her, tis a shame she don't like boys))

"You have no idea," she said, rolling her eyes and leaning beside him to sip her beer. "My sisters--they're identical twins and they even dress alike, it's really rather frightening--they're always telling me I 'bring disgrace upon the family.'" She imitated a very hoity-toity, scandalized voice. "Honestly, if a few grass stains and maybe the occasional fist fight are going to destroy our reputation, it can't have been too strong to begin with, right?"
((She does! She likes both. ;D Maybe leaning toward girls, but Jack's definitely got a chance.))

Script sent him a wink, just to embarrass him, then did what she was told. "Alright, here goes it." She jumped as he lifted her, reaching. She tugged at the door to open it, grabbing hold of the ladder before it could clatter down, easing it to the ground gently.
