She nodded, smiling up at him. "If you want to go say hi, we can. I'm following you." She bit her bottom lip a little, but kept her smile on. She figured this is the part where she'd be shuffled off to someone else and he'd make an excuse to leave. Pity. She thought he was finally warming up to her.

"Let's go for it, then." He smiled, took his drink and her hand, and led her over to the other two boys--letting go of her hand as soon as he realized how it looked. "Hey," he greeted the new boy, offering his hand. "Goblin Pearson. Either of you met Script yet? She's been filling the kitchen with chocolate-chip cookies."

Moonshine took Goblin's hand, shaking it. "Moonshine McGowan, nice ta meet ya." He flashed a charming grin at Script, taking her hand and kissing her knuckles. "Hey, Sugar. Anyone who provides me with cookies is my new favorite."

Script smiled politely, taking her hand back smoothly. "Well, thanks, I'm flattered." She ever so slightly moved a hair closer to Goblin's side, letting her fingers brush against his where their hands hung at their sides.

Jack watched the whole scene play out and raised his eyebrow at Goblin. "Hey Script nice to meet ya," he said cheerfully.

Script flashed Jack a smile. "Hi, I heard you were the man in charge, more or less. Hope you don't mind some new company."

Goblin caught Jack's eye and raised an eyebrow in return. It wasn't like he'd meant for this to happen. He pulled up two new stools, subtly escaping Script's fingers in the process, and threw back the last of his beer. "So when did you get to Duane Street? Script's new too," he said casually to Moonshine. The guy was obviously into her--well, he was probably the type who was into any pretty girl he laid eyes on, but it was a start.
Never mind the fact that he liked her. It was still a terrible idea. For so many reasons! he reminded himself.

Script pursed her lips a little as she moved to sit on the stool. Tenacity was one of her better qualities, but even she could get frustrated. This Moonshine guy was a real looker, but she'd already made up her mind. And Goblin was it, whether he liked it or not.
To Moonshine, she said, "You sound Southern."

Moonshine nodded, ordered another round for everybody since he was feeling generous. "Kentucky, actually. Just got into New York a few days ago. Found Duane Street today. Like it so far." He sent another smile Script's way, making her blush a little.

Goblin immediately fell into his usual routine, watching everyone like a hawk without appearing to, and decided his plan was working out just fine. It would be nice if he were happier about it.
"Thanks," he said to Moonshine as the next round of drinks arrived. "Script here's from Boston. Seems like we've got people moving in from all over these days."

Script only just smiled, a friendly look set on her face, but her eyes were on Goblin. She was trying to get a read on him, but wasn't doing so well. She just couldn't figure him out. She knew exactly what he was trying to do - like he was trying to convince Moonshine how great she was, here, take her, why dontcha. It annoyed her.
She got up suddenly, sliding off the stool. "Dance with me. 'Scuse us fellas." She tugged Goblin by the sleeve off the stool and out to the dance floor before he had any chance to protest or stop her.

((Haha! Love her.))
Goblin barely had time to blink before he found himself on the dance floor. Well, so much for the plan. He flashed Script an extremely bemused smile. "Has anyone ever told you you're very, uh...determined?"

Jack watched Script drag Goblin off and started laughing, "well he's in trouble."

Script put her hands on his shoulders and looked up at him. "More than once. Why do you keep tryin to hand me off to that Moonshine guy?" So much for tact.
((Haha, yeah, she's pretty awesome.))

Moonshine let out a low wistle. "Yeah, she's a pistol, ain't she. Pretty thing, too. 'Preciate a woman with some meat on 'er bones." He grinned over at Jack. "What aboutchu'? What's yer type?"
