Race thought back over his own words. "It sounds kind of dirty, don't it?" He laughed and finished off his drink, still failing to recall just how important it was to not bring up murders in public. "How come Risk ain't drunk yet?" he asked Ershey. "We're drunk. I think." She had in her head in her hands too, after all.

"Adrianne," said Risk sternly, his vision started to focus as he ran through a list of events that could've happened. "What did the two of you do?"
"It's not important!" muttered Ershey, grabbing a new beer bottle and handing it to Risk in hopes that he'd get distracted by alcohol.

"It's not?" Race turned to Ershey in confusion. "Wait, why is he mad? You're s'posta be mad. He's s'posta be happy." He looked from one to the other, sadly decided they were both mad, and wandered off to the bar to talk to Charlie.
((Bed! G'night! <3))

"Race!" she muttered, feeling herself get annoyed. She let out a sigh as she glanced at Risk who was shooting her a stare before finally grabbing the drink and taking a huge swig from it.

Charlie decided to take pity on Race. He listened patiently to his endless ramblings about horses while handing him glasses of water. After a few minutes, Race's head had cleared enough for him to wonder what was happening with Ershey and Risk. He made his way back to their table.

The two siblings were quiet. Ershey was too upset to say anything and Risk decided to drown himself in alcohol as he secretly hoped that his sister stayed somewhat innocent. They both glanced at Racetrack when he came back, at each other then back on the ground.

Race was still totally confused about what had happened to make things so awkward, but at least he realized they were awkward. "This is awkward, we should go home," he announced, not even sure they could all make it home.

"No!" said Risk forcefully, standing up before finishing off the beer he was holding. "One more round!" Despite his drunkenness, Risk was slowly but surely putting things together. He knew that there were more newsies involved in the Ericson murder... and Wraith and Goblin were two of them. He was missing three... and with the interrogation Tristan gave him, that left two... and with what he heard...

Race sank into his chair in confusion. More beer sounded lovely but not exactly wise. "Whadda you think, Ershey?"

Ershey finished off her beer, much like her brother just did so. She forgot how many they'd had... five? Or was it six? All Ershey knew was that everything was spinning.
"Hmm?" she muttered, looking at Race as Risk ran off to find Charlie to get another round.

"Hmm? Oh. I dunno...nothing." Race was distracted because he'd noticed the spinning, too. He draped an arm around Ershey to keep her steady and waited for Risk to return.

"Thanks, Charlie!" shouted Risk as he wobbled over towards Race and Ershey. "Ta-dah!" He grinned and held out his hands for the pair to grab their new beer bottles. Ershey simply stared at Risk then at the beer, then Race and back to the beer again. All she knew was that if it wasn't for Race, she'd be on the floor.

Race took the beer cheerfully enough and took a long swig, then set it down and forgot about it within seconds. His head drifted onto Ershey's shoulder. He was dozing off, thinking happy thoughts of Sapphy and card games and saving the world with cows.

((LOL COWS))
Risk grinned as Race drank his beer. He smiled at Ershey, offering her her drink. "C'mon, here's one for you!" he said as if nothing had happened earlier. Ershey raised an eyebrow at Risk and suddenly remembered why she was worried earlier. She opened her mouth to say something but immediately covered it, realizing that something bad was about to happen.

((Gotta love Cowmageddon.))
Pulled away from his sweet dreams, Race opened his eyes and squinted up at Risk. "Ershey don't want any more beer, she's spinning," he explained, then looked at her in confusion. Even this drunk, he could see how upset she was.
