"I like you, Tyler. You're a very nice boy." Except for the fact that you're pushy and arrogant and downright irritating.

[Moonshine]

He smirked at her. "'A very nice boy.' Well, then." He reached across the table for her hand, brushing his fingers along hers where they rested on the table. "Yer makin' things difficult, Kat. All I wanna do is show ya a good time. Sittin' there, treatin' me like an inconvenient, unexpected houseguest ain't makin' it easy on me."

[Kathryn]

Kathryn furrowed her brow in confusion.

"I'm being nothing but polite to you. And you return the favor with rudeness."

[Moonshine]

He arched a brow at her. Rude, huh? Actually, he'd been pretty damn proud of himself for not being more openly annoyed. "Sweetheart, yer idea of 'polite' is like gettin' stabbed in the heart with an icicle. You've barely even looked at me, and I resent the fact that you've already decided ta have a lousy night with me."

[Kathryn]

"I have decided no such thing," she replied, making a point to stare at him.

[Moonshine]

He barked out a laugh at her expression, allowing himelf to lift her hand to his mouth so he could kiss he fingertips. "Yer, somethin', Sugar. Yer definitely somethin'."

[Kathryn]

"Thank you," she replied with a small nod. Although she wanted to pull her hand away from him, she found she couldn't...

[Moonshine]

He let his lips linger, a smile of amusement playing at his lips. He locked eyes with hers, his filled with mischief as he nibbled on a fingertip gently. "Yer welcome..." He nibbled on a second fingertip, but put her hand down as the food arrived. He sent her a grin. "Well, this looks delicious." He migh not have been talking only about food.

[Kathryn]

"I'd have to agree," she replied, no longer able to look him in the eye. She picked up her knife and fork and started cutting her lasagna, taking delicate bites.

[Moonshine]

He held back a smirk as he began to eat. After a minute he held out a piece of ravioli to her on the end of his fork. "Here, ya gotta try this."

[Kathryn]

Kathryn set down her cutlery and tried to take the fork from his hand. He turned out to be too strong (or maybe too stubborn. Or both), so she sighed before opening her mouth.

[Moonshine]

He grinned a little as he fed her the bite, brushing a bit of sauce from the corner of her mouth with his thumb. "Good, huh?" He licked the sauce off his thumb, eyeing her.

[Kathryn]

"Yes, very good," she mumbled, speaking quickly and not looking at him. She almost immediately picked her silverware back up and started eating her own dish.

[Moonshine]

He wasn't sure whether the fact that she couldn't seem to look at him was a good thing or bad thing. It's not like he wanted to make her uncomfortable. Well, not too uncomfortable, anyway. He just wanted her to...feel something. They ate in silence, until the waiter came to tak their plates. Tyler immediately took her hand in his again from across the table. "You want any dessert or coffee or somethin'?"

[Kathryn]

Kathryn shook her head, glancing at him. "No, thank you." She knew the date wasn't over yet, though. He probably had something up his sleeve... There was no way Tyler would let the date end so soon.
