[Kathryn]

Kathryn stopped once they reached the fork in the path, one way leading to the clinic, the other to the cafeteria. "I...I think I'm pregnant," she informed him quietly, holding onto his hand.

Teddy let go, releasing into her and bit his lip as a groan threatened to escape.

Tyler nearly tripped over his feet, stopping to stare at her. "You...ya think..? How...what?" He gaped, head filled with possibilities.

Maggie held him as they rode out their orgasms, then collapsed back on the bed, letting out a breath. "Jesus Christ..."

"I was supposed to start my...cycle," she said, her voice hushed, "last week. And I'm never late. Well, until now."

Teddy pressed his forehead into the crook of her neck. "There. I've probably scarred my sisters for life, but it was worth it."

Tyler blinked at her, open mouthed. Then grabbed hold of her, lifting her off her feet in a hug. "Yes!"

Maggie giggled, still panting. "I love yo--" She stopped, eyes widening, a little terrified.

[Kathryn]

Kathryn giggled, her stomach doing somersaults. "I don't know for sure yet! But, I really think so. I'll make an appointment with the doctor after work," she said, her arms wrapped tightly around his neck. "Speaking of work, I really need to get going."

Teddy froze. She may have stopped her sentence before she finished, but she'd said the most important word. He lifted his head to look up at her. "Did you just say you love me?" he teased, nudging her nose with his.

[Moonshine]

Tyler laughed, kissing her loudly. "Go. I'll see ya tonight. And Kat?" He paused, kissing her softer. "I love ya."

Maggie swallowed with some difficulty. "Umm...not if you didn't want me to..."

[Mush]

"I love you, too," she whispered, smiling widely. She darted off to the clinic, only remembering being this happy when they'd gotten married. When she was about 20 yards from the clinic, she heard a weird screeching noise... She looked around, but before anything could register, she felt a burst of intense heat in front of her. She instantly brought her arms up to shield herself, and she was thrown back. She landed hard on her side, her temple hitting a jagged rock sticking out from the ground.

"Well, I gotta admit, I've never told a girl I loved 'em, before... But you're just any girl, are you, Maggie Martin?" He kissed her nose tenderly before pressing his forehead against hers.

Tyler hadn't even gotten back to the barracks when the first airstrike hit. Without thinking, he turned and ran in the direction of the clinic. He had to find Kathryn. Whe he saw her, laying there, head bleeding, he felt his stomach drop and he rushed to her. "Kat! Kat, baby, talk to me, Sugar."

Maggie bit her lip, searching his eyes. "So...so what's that mean, Teddy..?" She held him, nervous.

[Kathryn]

Kathryn coughed weakly, feeling nothing but pain everywhere. She turned her head to the side, but knew that was a mistake when she felt a sharp, intense throb. She tried to talk, but her lungs would barely let her breathe, let alone say anything.

Teddy chuckled, kissing her lips softly. "It means... I love you, too."

[Moonshine]

"Jesus.." Tyler tried to stay calm, his training kicking in. "Hold on, baby, don't move." He ran into the clinic, which was in a state of organized chaos. He got a hol of to orderlies, barking at them to get a gurney. He led them out to her, and they got her loaded, wheeling her inside. "Baby?"

Maggie smiled slowly. "You...you do? But...it's been a day..." And it had only been a day. An amazing day. ((Annnd I just got an amazing idea))

[Mush]

"Tyler..." Kathryn managed to cough out, her eyes blinking open slightly.

"Yeah, but..." he shrugged, "that doesn't really matter." ((OOh yay! I gotta go to school soon, but I can't wait!))

[Moonshine]

Tyler brushed hair from her eyes as a nurse set to work on her. "You'll be ok, baby. You hit your head, that's all. Just hold on for me, ok?" He looked out a window. The air strike had ended, but all units were on the move. He was glad to be by her side, but felt guilty he wasn't able to be out there with his brothers.

((Skipping ahead!!!)) The three weeks had passed. Teddy was back in Vietnam, and Maggie was back in California. She had written him a letter every week for the last year. But she hadn't seen him. He had only gotten local leaves, and hadn't been back in the States. Maggie had graduated in the Spring and was working and living in San Francisco. She sat in her apartment in her pj's, watching t.v. late one night in October.

[Kathryn]

The next thing Kathryn remembered was waking up; it was dark outside the windows, and she couldn't see anyone around her. "Tyler?" she whispered groggily, her mouth dry. "Tyler?!"

Teddy sat in his bunk, reading her latest letter for what seemed like the hundredth time. He was glad she was doing all right, though she sounded like she missed him as much as he missed her. Which was more than anything. He sighed, tears coming to his eyes yet again. He was glad his barrack was empty.

[Moonshine]

Tyler had dozed off in a chair by her bed, but he bolted up and was by her side. "Shh, shh, baby I'm here." He got her a cup of water from the try by her bed. "Here. Drink this."

A uniformed sargeant walked into the barrack, holding an envelope. "Private Meyers." He waited for Teddy to stand up at attention. "At ease, soldier. Congratulations." He held out the envelope. "You're going home. For good. America thanks you for your service." And with that, he walked out.

[Mush]

Kathryn took a sip, but immediately started coughing. Which brought about the fact that she hurt everywhere. "What...what happened?"

Teddy stared at the place where the sargeant had stood. He couldn't believe it. He tore open the envelope, reading the letter and seeing the plane ticket to DC. It was for tomorrow. He quickly wrote Maggie and his parents a letter. He would visit them first, then make his way to San Francisco.
