"I know you miss them," he said, cradling her as he gently stroked her hair. He wondered whether there was some way she could have some closure. It'd been haunting her for years and he was always lost on what he should do. "But I'm sure they want you to be happy too."

"I know..." she whispered, unable to gather up enough strength to speak normally. "And I am. I'm so happy, especially because I have you." Tag wrapped her arms around Specs' chest to hug him tightly.

Tag nodded. She pulled away to wipe away the last of her tears, lying back down after she did so.

Tag couldn't help but smile feebly when he said that. She couldn't believe she'd gotten so lucky. "I love you, too," she whispered back, kissing his neck gently.

Specs finally smiled, glad to see that Tag felt somewhat relieved. "Excited for the weekend? To be married?"

"No. I really regret suggesting that now," she replied, knowing he knew her well enough by now to recognize she was joking. OF COURSE she was excited!

Specs laughed as he fell back on the bed, pulling Tag closer to him in return. "You were saying?" he smirked, kissing her forehead.

"I was saying I'm going to go back to sleep now so we can get married already." She smiled at him before closing her eyes tightly.

Finally, the day came to go to the courthouse. Tag put on her nicest dress, one given to her by Kathryn when she told her she and Specs were getting married. It was white, of course, with pastel pink trim. She tugged on her white lace gloves and put her hair up into an elegant, braided coiffure.
Specs was getting ready at his own place, and they had decided to meet there at noon.

Specs paced in front of the courtroom as he waited for Tag. The past few days were a blur as they were busy preparing for their wedding and making sure that their friends were able to attend, if possible. It was finally noon and Specs couldn't help but feel nervous. He loved Tag with all his heart and couldn't imagine living life without her.
