"You already said that," muttered Ershey, raising an eyebrow at Risk's new drinking buddy. Hearing Macbeth's voice, she turned around, relieved to see her friend. "I really don't know..."
"I'm introducing Adri to someone who actually likes me!" grinned Risk. Realizing that it was Macbeth that she was talking to, he rushed over to her side and smiled. "Beth!"

"Risk! You're drunk! It must be a day that ends in 'y'," Macbeth growled without taking her eyes from the book.

"See, Beth? That's what I like about you!" beamed Risk. "You're so smart!"

Moonshine blinked in thought. "Beth? Beth! Your Beth! The girl you wanna get with!"

Macbeth dropped her book and leapt to her feet, glaring murderously at the random drunk idiot who had walked in behind Risk. "Excuse me!?"

Ershey's eyes went wide as she heard what his supposed friend said. She couldn't help but laugh as she looked from Risk to Macbeth.
"Dammit, Moonshine!" yelled Risk, running over to him and tackling him.

Macbeth gave them a disgusted look and shook her head. "Bloody drunks," she muttered, not putting the slightest stock in what the random guy had said. She grabbed her book and headed for the stairs.

"Look, you made her leave!" muttered Risk under his breath angrily.
"Right, well, nice attempt, Alec," chuckled Ershey, getting bored by the two as she turned around to leave.

"Well, go talk to 'er!" He clapped him on the back. "Be brave, man. Make me proud." He said it solemnly, which made him look kind of adorable.

Risk stared at Moonshine for a couple seconds then ran after Macbeth. "Wait, Beth!"

She was at the bunkroom door, arms wrapped around her book, cradling it against her chest. She glared at the door. "What?" she snapped without turning around.

"I, uh..." muttered Risk as he reached the top of the stairs, trying to catch his breath. Damn, alcohol made him run slow. "I'm sorry about earlier."
Noticing that Risk left his friend, Ershey shrugged and called out to him, "Well, nice to meet you! Hope you remember it all when you're sober..."

"You didn't do nothing," said Macbeth with a dangerous edge to her voice. She was all set to pin his friend's comment on some drunken misunderstanding--and not, God forbid, on anything Risk had actually said about her.
