She smirked back at him. "Ah, yes, the tortured life of a trust fund baby. How difficult yours must be." She laughed, going so far as to lean her cheek against his shoulder as she looked out over the water. "I'm an only child and my mother's dead. My father is all I have, so he matters as much as any father ever could."

Alexander smiled and shrugged at her, 'well...I suppose that's good you love him,' he said, not sure what else to say. 'let's keep strolling, shall we?'

She took his hand because she was comfortable with him now. "It's pretty out. Not too cold." She smiled up at him. "Tell me about yourself, Alexander."

'raven huh? That's an interesting name. You a bird or something?' he asked, smirking to himself as if he was the first person to ever ask her that.
-----
Nevada shrugged at Tristan's question. 'who says I had to bribe him? Maybe I'm just trouble and we agreed to stay outta each others way?'

"Yes, I am...can't you see my wings?" She smirked at him, looking at him out of the corner of her eye.
~
"You don't look like all that much trouble to me," Tristan said with a smirk and then shrugged.

'yes,' Spot said tugging on the velvet cloak she wore, the corner of his mouth upturning into the slightest smirk.
----
'you've heard the phrase don't judge a book by its cover, haven't you?' she asked, raising a brow, 'looks can be deceiving.'

Raven laughed, "Too much for your taste, I could take it off but I'd be cold," She smirked back at him. "You still didn't tell me who you were."
"Oh yeah? There's no way you're more trouble than this one," Tristan jerked his thumb at Raven, "She talks like one of us but dresses like one of you, what do you make of that?"
Raven obviously overheard Tristan and glanced at him with a smile. "I work very hard for my money, you should try it."
"So do I doll," Tristan snapped back at her.

Alexander looked at their linked fingers and couldn't help but smirk-most women weren't as forward as this one and he found he liked it. 'I fear I'm terribly interesting I wouldn't know where to start,' he joked, fine.....I survived consumption.' he said. He did, he didn't find it very interesting. It it was the first thing that came to him. 'your turn.'

She quirked a brow at him, listening to his declaration, then thought a minute. "My turn? Well...I'm excellent in the kitchen, especially baking." She smiled. "Your turn."

Spot smirked as he watched the interaction between Rae and Tristan. 'don't listen to him,' he said, chuckling, 'I'm sure you could have him by the balls in a matter of seconds.'
-----
'Who cares how she talks? I'm sure she's fun at parties,' Nevada said to Tristan.

He puckered his lips as he thought, 'this may surprise you but I'm not very good at talking about myself. Now.....tell me.....baking huh? Was that something you learned to do?'

"I happen to be a riot at parties," Raven said with a huge smile. "I find high society things boring though, I'd rather get piss drunk in a bar on the lower east side." She said wistfully.
Tristan eyed Raven warily and then glanced at Nevada. He turned to look out at the water, choosing not to say anything.

She didn't altogether believe him -- he seemed like a champion braggert-- but she nodded. "I did. My mother taught me. I have no dowry or connections, but boy, can I make a helluva a brownie." She sent him a wink, laughing.
