Mush sighed, rubbing her hand with his thumb. "Of course I would. You're smart and funny and nice. You're beautiful on the inside, too." They'd been together a few months now; Mush was getting the hang of saying what she needed to hear when she got like this.

Mush just chuckled to himself. His feelings weren't hurt that she was more excited for the ice cream; he knew it was just her being a girl. He dug into his ice cream, feeling he probably enjoyed it almost as much as Ershey did.

Ershey grinned as she took her time to eat her ice cream, savoring every spoonful. She was thankful that Mush was treating her to something sugary for today. It was exactly what she needed.

Of course, Mush was finished with his ice cream when Ershey was about halfway done. He set his spoon down and leaned back against the booth, sighing contentedly.
