Lillian lay there, panting, her chest and stomach touching his each time she took a breath. "Oh...oh my..."

Jack couldn't help but smile at her reaction, "That's what you've been missing," He said and kissed her softly again. "You have any idea how pretty you are?"

She blushed at that, smiling shyly and barely meeting his eyes. "No..." she said with a half-shrug.

He laughed and let his fingers idly trickle down over her arm. He yawned. "When you came into my office I honestly didn't know if I could take the job cause I thought you were so pretty. There was something in your eyes that made me say yes though."

"I believe you," she said, reaching up to brush a piece of hair away from his forehead. "We should get some sleep."

"Yeah we should, we got a long day tomorrow," He said and slowly got to his feet. When Lillian stood he wrapped her up in the soft blanket, walking over to the bed with her.

"Y'know... You don't have to sleep on the floor," she said softly, not looking at him. She moved her bag to the floor and grabbed the shirt she had laid out to wear to bed.

"I was hoping you'd say that...I mean it seems silly now don't you think?" He said with a huge smile. He wrapped his arms around her from behind and kissed her neck, then climbed into bed without bothering to get dressed.

She chuckled to herself, putting her underwear back on then slipping on the shirt. It went down to her knees, like all her brother's old shirts did. Then she slipped into bed beside him.

Jack wrapped an arm around her and pulled her close to him. He closed his eyes and sighed. This was the most at peace with himself he'd been in years.

Lillian fell asleep fairly quickly. It wasn't hard to, for not only was she exhausted from the past couple days, but she also felt so safe in his arms.
The next morning, Lillian's eyes fluttered open as the sun shone in through the grimy windows of the cabin. She turned over to come face to face with Jack, who was still sleeping. She must have been half asleep because she leaned in and pressed her lips to his. She never would've been that brave were she wide awake.

That's when Jack woke up, "Mmm..." He hummed against her lips and kissed her back. "Good morning."
