Jack grabbed the horses reins and clicked his tongue leading him to the stables. When they reached the stables he led the horse inside and got him situated in a stall. He turned to Lillian, "Is everything okay?" He asked her.
((haha Jack always clueless how to begin a relationship))

"Y-yeah," she replied, nodding somewhat awkwardly. "Is everything okay with you?"

"Yeah," He smiled at her. "Um...so whenever you feel like going for a ride you can come in here and pick a horse. Most of 'em are pretty docile."

"Okay, will do," she said, shouldering her pack. "Are we, er, going into the house now?" She really wanted to take a bath.

"Uh yeah...sorry," Jack slipped his hand into hers and led her up to the house. He went into the back entrance which led directly into the kitchen.
"There's an indoor washroom...it's upstairs to the left," He said.

She nodded, looking up to where he indicated the location of the washroom. Then she looked back at him. "Jack...?"

Jack scratched the back of his head nervously and then managed to smile. "Well...I mean I was hoping we could be together," He kicked at a rock in the dirt. "Um...I like you...I want to get to know you better."

She smiled back at him, but blushed all the same. Then she took one of his hands in hers. "Good. I was thinking the same thing."

"Yeah? Well...good," He smiled down at her. "I should show you around the house. It's big so you'll probably get lost, but that's okay." He showed her to the parlor and the kitchen and then took her upstairs to where the bedrooms were. Then he revealed another room, the library.
"My grandfather collected all these books." He said with a smile. "Still haven't made it through all of 'em."

Lillian's eyes were wide with wonder. "Oh, my..." she exclaimed softly, gazing around. It had been ages since she'd picked up a book, and her fingers were itching to open one now.

"It's my favorite room in the whole house, even though I don't get to spend a lot of time here," He said with a shrug.

Lillian made it a mission to get Jack to spend some time in this room, preferably with her. "Well, don't be surprised if you find me in here most of the time..."

Jack smiled, "Good, somebody should get some use out of it. I can almost never find the time to sit for an hour in here."
