He knew the right answer to that question, the one you were always supposed to give enthusiastically to anyone who was involved in your complex, dangerous schemes. But somehow, he didn't think Cav would buy it. "I...think there's a chance. A pretty good chance. And look at it this way--there are enough of us now that if a couple die, the rest can still follow through." Apparently, his ability to keep up morale had dwindled into black humor.

"There was a guy who hurt my sister," Goblin said calmly. In the outside world, talking about a murder you committed was the stupidest thing you could possibly do. In here, the rules were different. It actually gave you some credibility. Not that he would ever mention that it was Clara who fired the gun.

Goblin just nodded. He might be as powerless as anyone else in here, but if the warden did anything to Script, he'd plan some terrible revenge if it took him the rest of his life. Also, Cav seemed to have a little more respect for him now, which never hurt. "So...not much left to do now except watch and listen."
