"Good," he chuckled, playfully nudging her shoulder. "It would've been sad if you had to turn me away."
---
"Thanks," she smiled, rushing to the kitchen to hide her dirty dishes. "Want to call the pizza place?"

"Oh, I never turn away a man with take-out." She flashed him a grin, nudging his shoulder right back.
--
He watched her, amused. "Yeah, no problem. My treat." He grabbed her phone, dialing the number by heart and ordering a large pepperoni.

"Oh, so if I didn't have takeout, you would've turned me away?" he teased, glancing at her.
--
"Are you sure? Tyler, I'll pay for half of it," she whispered as she sidled up next to him and poked his arm.

Maggie blushed, and smiled behind a bitten lip."Ryan, you know I'd never turn you away."
--
He shot her a wink, finishing the order and then hanging up. "Don't sweat it. You'll just buy the next one." He grinned at her.

"And I feel the same way about you too," he replied, giving her a reassuring smile.
--
"The next one?" she repeated, amused.

Maggie smiled brightly at him, cheeks pink, then turned back to the TV. They ate and watched in relative silence, but she kept sneaking glances at him out of the corner of her eye.
--
Tyler only grinned at her, moving into the living room to flop onto her couch.

Ryan silently ate as they watched an episode of Friends, trying his best not to catch her eye. He was feeling brave today and the last thing he wanted to do was make things awkward. Setting the empty take out box on the table, he leaned back and put his arm around the couch, close but barely touching her shoulder.
--
"What, hey! Are you ignoring me?" she muttered, running over to the couch and taking a seat next to him. She grabbed the nearby throw and wrapped it around her feet.

((P.S. Congrats, you're Obsessed!))
Maggie set down her carton of rice and chewed on her lip. She instinctively shifted closer to him, though not quite touching. Ugh, why did he have to smell so good. Ryan's cologne was her absolute favorite. Even when she smelled it on other people, her insides always got a little achey.
--
Tyler smirked. "No, I ain't ignorin' ya. And how 'bout you share some a' that, huh?" He grinned at her, snagging some of the throw for himself.

((I know, haha!! I don't know if that's a good thing or not )) Ryan couldn't help but feel like a teenager again. They were grown adults, dammit. Why did this have to be so hard? He waited for the right moment and once he heard a punch line followed by laughter, he shifted his hand on her shoulder and hoped that she wouldn't shrug it off. --- "Hey!" gasped Adri, chuckling softly as she tried to make sure they both had equal space under the throw. "You could've just asked. I would've just given it to you."

((Haha, seriously )) She definitely did not shrug it off. She froze for a second, then melted against him, leaning against his side, just a little. -- Tyler grinned. "I figured my way was more fun. Did ya mind a whole lot?"

Ryan couldn't help but smile to himself as he felt her lean against him. He gently squeezed her shoulder and relaxed against the couch. Damn, she smelled so good.
---
"Nope," grinned Adri, shaking her head. "It's warmer, anyway. And I hate the rain... and the cold."

She was wearing her perfume that smelled like honeysuckle because Ryan had complimented her on it once a hundred years ago, and now it was all she wore. She settled in next to him, laughing at some joke or other, but she was acutely aware of how close together they were.
--
Tyler nodded. "Agreed. Summer's my favorite season. I got up to the lake every year. Camp out and fish. It's nice."

Ryan gently rested her chin on her forehead, completely addicted to her smell. He couldn't help but feel happy. This is the way things are supposed to be. Thank God for take-out.
--
"I've never been fishing," she shrugged, unconsciously snuggling next to him due to the cold. "Is it as fun as everyone else says it is?"

Maggie gave a little sigh as she snuggled closer against him, being a little braver now. She'd had all sorts of dreams about this. She'd had a ridiculous crush on Ryan since he moved into the building.
--
"Well, I like it. Nothin' like a lake, cold beer, and a fishin' pole." He was just about to put his arm around her when the door bell rang. He groaned inwardly. "Probably the pizza. I'll get it." He got up, going to the door. He paid the man, wishing he'd be faster and leave. He came back with the pizza and a bottle of Coke he'd added to the order, plus paper plates and cups.

"You okay? Comfy?" asked Ryan once the episode finished. He glanced down at her, trying his best not to look nervous.
--
Adri gasped when she heard the door bell. She followed Tyler closely, shivering a bit as she did so. "Mmm, pizza," she smiled once he set it down on the table, immediately taking one. "I've been so hungry all day."
