She gave him a weak smile. "I guess. I've never really had one before."

"Congratulations," he said with a rueful smirk. "Being a lone wolf doesn't mean I just get drunk all the time, though." He wasn't sure why he felt the need to explain himself.

She smiled a little at him. "I believe you." She shrugged. "And anyway, you were still a gentleman, even after I asked you not to be."

"Oh...yeah," Skittery said, chuckling kind of nervously. "Look, Script...I like hanging out with you. I would definitely like to try it one time without getting drunk...I'm just not looking for anything other than...friends...right now."

She nodded, then looked up at him, meeting his eyes. "Neither am I. I just got out of a relationship, and, well...I just want a...friend." She said the word 'friend' a little pointedly, quirking a brow at him and biting her lip.

Skittery actually smiled as he looked down at her. "Good. So we're on the same page, then." He was glad to find a girl who didn't expect anything from him. That was a breath of fresh air.

She smirked a little. "Well, we might be in the same chapter. But I don't know if we're on the same page." Maybe it was the alcohol still working its way through her system, or her new 'devil may care' attitude she was using to protect herself, but she felt brave and a little...reckless.

"Oho," he chortled, nodding, impressed. "That was a good one. You're catching on quicker than I thought."

She sent him a sheepish grin. "Yeah?"
((I added Tag's pictures to the album!))

"Yeah," he replied, smiling. He stood up, stretched and groaned. "I'm pretty impressed, actually."
((Ooh, yay!))

She watched him. "Impressed at what? The fact that I not-so-subtly hinted at being open to a friends with benefits relationship?" She blinked. Perhaps she hadn't been clear. Or maybe she just really sucked at playing this game.

Skittery froze, then slowly turned to look down at her. "...Say what?" ((omg I love the pictures! SO cute!! And also I'm going to bed, lol. Stayed up way too late to watch a movie! Night ))

((Night!))
She sat on the couch, blinking up at him with big eyes. "Oh. So I guess we weren't on the same page, then."

"I was wondering why you put emphasis on the word 'friend.' I thought maybe you meant best friend or something...." He sat down next to her, stretching his arm across the back of the sofa.

She blinked at him, quirking a brow. "A best friend? Skitts, I don't need a best friend."
