He grabbed her wrist then pulled her back down, tackling her on the sofa cushions. Then he eased up, looking guilty. "Guess I can't play rough with you anymore, can I?" he asked as he put a hand gingerly on her stomach.

"Like, um..." she muttered uncertainly, unable to look at him. "Well, let me put it this way... remember a couple months ago when I had a cold? Just the sniffles, nothing more? You followed me around wherever I went." She shot him a look as if to say he should know what she was talking about.

Ershey smiled, feeling quite content until she grimaced. Another wave of nausea hit her as she closed her eyes and tried to breathe.
