Raven sighed heavily, "Sean go to your room and don't come out until I tell you to." Sean glared, but did as his mother said. Even though he was about a foot taller than her, she scared the shit out of him.
"Listen to me sweetheart," Raven said, taking seat beside her. "They're all Conlon's and they're all the same. One girl is the same as the next. You," she gently gripped her chin, "have to make yourself stand out, make them see that you're special and different. Sean could care less about frivalities, you gotta show him you're more than a pretty face. That's how I kept Spot all those years. She winced, blushing pink. "O--okay..." She got up, starting to head out, but stopped in the doorway, turning to smile at Rae. "Thanks." She hurried off the bathroom to, um, clean herself. When she was done, she went to Sean's room, tapping on the door.
