((So it's not letting me delete posts right now. It's weird. Editing instead...)) Beth didn't really feel like talking. She left that up to Risk and Sammie. She was still trying to figure out what the hell they were about to do and whether it was justified.

"You traitor," muttered Sammie, taking a step forward towards Gypsy, her hand ready as she held her blade. "Running away from Eastman and thinking we weren't going to find you..."
Risk was inwardly panicking. How were they going to let Gypsy go safely while letting Sammie believe that they'd done the job? Shit. Shit. Shit. "Sammie," interrupted Risk, placing himself in between the two girls. "Let me take care of this. It's my -- uh, Beth and I's assignment, not yours."
"Well, I'm here to make sure you two get the job done," she snapped. "I leave you two and someone else sees us! Talk about sloppy."

Gypsy was wracking her brain, trying to make a plan. But she'd be lying if she said she wasn't nervous. Jimmy wouldn't be able to save her this time. "Eastman fucking turned on me. I wasn't supposed to be given to Heather. I was a runner, not his fucking whore."

"He didn't say to kill her," Beth pointed out in the most determinedly calm voice she'd ever managed in her life. "He just said he wanted her back." She had no idea how they would ever get this girl all the way to the Points, but at least it would buy them some time!

"He said he wanted her to be punished," muttered Sammie angrily at Macbeth, ready to take down the girl if she needed to.
"Let's bring her back," said Risk immediately, feeling Sammie's temper escalate. "And Eastman can punish her himself."
Sammie eyed Macbeth then glanced at Risk, her blade still ready as she approached Gypsy. "You make a move and you're dead."

Her eyes narrowed at the little blonde. If it weren't for the damn knife and the fact that she was out numbered, she'd squash her like a bug. "Whatever you say, honey."

Beth let out a giant mental sigh of relief, even though her nerves were still about to explode. She was officially losing track of who knew what, who was on whose side, and how many lines she was willing to cross. If she weren't busy covering Gypsy with her own blade, she would most certainly have been holding Risk's hand again; he was the only person she trusted in this whole mess, and she just bloody well hoped they'd find a way out of it as soon as possible.
"Let's go," she muttered for the second time that day, as they headed back down the ladder and down the stairs. She only hoped they wouldn't run into any other lodgers on the way out--this would look mighty peculiar.

Risk nodded, shooting Gypsy a look to caution her to keep her mouth shut; although, it probably just came off as a glare.
"No blades," muttered Risk, looking at Sammie. "If someone sees that out here, we're done."
"I'm not stupid, lame-ass," she mumbled, rolling her eyes at him as she pocketed her blade.

Gypsy growled, but allowed herself to be led out of the attic and through the lodging house, out onto the streets.
She knew her luck was bound to run out eventually. She'd done too many bad things for karma not to catch up with her. But she wished she'd been nicer to Jimmy.

Beth very reluctantly tucked her own knife away as they headed outside. This was going to be the longest bloody walk of their lives, unless...
"Fuck this, I'm hailing a cab," she announced, and stomped down to the curb, flagging down a passing carriage and praying that an unarmed Risk and Sammie could keep their prisoner under control.

Risk eyes widened as a carriage stopped in front of them. "Really, Beth?" he muttered as Sammie nudged Gyspy to get inside.

Gypsy growled as Sammie pushed her, but she climbed in. They all rode in a glaring, tense silence all the way to Five Points. "Well, if it ain't home sweet home."

"My thoughts exactly," Macbeth muttered with a slight smirk, looking from Gypsy to Sammie to Risk. And added, with a dead serious expression, "So, how are we splitting the fare?" As far as stress went, she'd apparently reached the black-humor phase.

"I got it," muttered Risk, reaching for change in his pocket as he let the girls file out. He wanted to get rid of this carriage as soon as possible -- it was like a sore thumb in Five Points. It didn't belong here and the last thing he wanted was people asking what was going on.

Gypsy felt her insides flip as they left the carriage, walking into headquarters. The last time she saw Eastman, Jimmy was bashing his face in with a fist and she was jumping out a window. She glanced over at the girl called Macbeth. There was something else going on here, and she figured she knew what it was.
These were the two people Goblin conned into working the other half of his master plan. And once again, she was caught up in the middle of it. As far as she was concerned, Goblin Pearson was going to get it, and get it good. He ruined everything.
