He gave her hand a squeeze before interlinking their fingers, laughing. "If anyone can make it happen, it's you." When the art museum was upon them, he looked up at it. "So, what now?"

Zippy smirked and led them towards the back of the museum, and knocked on the door that said "STAFF".
"It might take a second." She muttered to Davey, and on cue, the door opened. A lady wearing a hairnet opened the door and was clearly about to take her cigarette break.
"Who are you?" She barked at Zippy. Zippy handed her the remaining violet flowers in her hand and smiled at her. "I'm here to visit my brother, Andy. Is he back there?" The lady rolled her eyes and gestured for them to come in.
"He's in the cafeteria." Zippy mumbled a thanks and pulled Davey inside. The lady watched them go, shrugged, and smelled the flowers.
"Andy!" Zippy greeted, approaching a young man in a janitor's uniform eating a turkey sandwich. Andy immediately beamed when he saw Zippy.
"Erin! How goes it, kid?" He took her hand and kissed it. "Haven't seen you around lately." Zippy just shrugged. "Oh you know. Andy, this is my friend David."

David kind of just blinked at everything, following after her. He looked at her when this Andy guy said her name. Erin? That's kinda pretty. He smiled a little, then turned his attention to Andy. "Hi. Thanks for letting us in."

Andy raised an eyebrow at David, obviously a bit upset Zippy had brought another man with her. "No problem." He said finally, getting out his keys. "Anything for Erin." He smiled at her again, and headed towards another door.
"You still sketching?" Andy asked her, and Zippy nodded.
"Until I run out of paper, yeah." Andy opened up the door and Zippy went through it, handing Andy a newspaper.
"Thanks!" She waved and pulled David into the staircase. "See?" She said ot him, taking is hand again. "Easy as pie."

He frowned a little at the look Andy sent her, but turned back to Zippy and flashed her a grin, linking fingers again. "Never doubted you."

"Now this is the tricky part," Zippy told David in a low voice, once they had reached the top of the staircase. "If someone sees us leaving this doorway, we're out of luck."
Zippy peeked her head out of the door. "We're clear. Let's go." She opened the door and went through it, pulling David with her. They were in the first exhibit of the Art Institute.

He kept close to her, seemingly to not make a scene, but really just so he could put his hand at the small of her back. "What d'ya wanna look at first?"

"Van Gough," Zippy replied immediately, leading him up the grand staircase to The Starry Night. It was her most favorite painting.

David knew the painting, he'd learned about it in school. He tilted his head at it as they stood in front of it. "I like this one. I like Sunflowers, too. Can you believe the guy cut off his ear for a girl?" He glanced over at her, smiling a little. "Though, I guess I kinda understand getting all caught up in one."

Zippy blushed, tearing her eyes away from the painting to look at him. "I like that you are smart. I've never been able to talk about art with anyone before." She looked at the painting again.
"I wish I had fantastic paint colors like that. If I could afford it, I would paint all the time. In brilliant colors." She smiled at David. "Have you been here before?"

He shook his head. "No, never." He smiled at her, bumping his arm against hers. "Thanks for bringing me." He looked at her, meeting her eyes. He made a mental note to save some money. Maybe he'd buy her a paint set for Christmas.

"Thanks for coming with," Zippy replied, looking around the room. "What do you think about this painting?" She gestured to another one of Van Gough's paintings.

"Irises? This one's nice. I like how's there just the one white flower sticking out from all the blue." He pointed it out. He bit the inside of his lower lip, considering. "Guess I feel like that white flower sometimes."

Zippy frowned, staring at the painting. "I'm usually one of those blue flowers. Lost in a crowd of a million others just like me. Ignored. Unoriginal. Forgotten." Pausing, she looked down, biting her lip trying to compose herself.
"Van Gough is amazing, isn't he? I hate reading about his life. He was so sad." She gave Dave a weak smile, looking up at him.

He looked down at her, knitting his brows. "You're not unoriginal, Zip. You're probably the most original girl I've ever met." He lifted a hand, brushing back a stray piece of her hair from her forehead.
