The alley they were in started spinning, and Zippy's eyes began to water again. Goddamn liquor. She wondered briefly for a moment if Tristan had told his wife. "Don't ever....leave me like that again," She managed, sniffling a bit. Although, now he really couldn't because she knew where he lived, and Zippy was never one to let fights linger.
If she could remember where it was, that is.
Her head started thumping hard, and she suddenly felt nauseous. "God I'm a mess."

He saw her face turn ashen, and he pushed her down so she was laying on the landing with her head in his lap. He sighed, "Yeah, you kind of are." He gave her a small smile, looking down at her. "But a really hot mess."

"I should go home," she replied, her eyes closed. Although it was nice in his arms.

He kissed her hair. "Lemme take you." He moved to sit her up, then stood. "Wait a second so I can leave a note." He hurried back into the apartment, then returned a couple of minutes later. "Come on, Zip. I'll help you." He helped her up, then slid his arm around her waist.

Standing up was difficult. Zippy leaned against him, her headache turning into a migraine. "Dave?"

"Yeah, Zippy?" He kept a secure hold of her, letting her rest her head on his shoulder as they walked towards the LH.

"Do you think I have a concussion? And, I kissed Tristan but it didn't mean anything and I don't want to kiss anyone else from now on but you." Zippy said, thinking the confession would make her head hurt less.
It didn't.

He stopped walking, turning his head to stare at her. "You...you kissed Tristan? But--but why?" He tried very, very hard to ignore the tight feeling in his chest.

"I don't know why, actually. He's married!" Zippy exclaimed, shaking her head. "I was drunk. He kissed me, but only for a second."

His eyes widened further. "You--you kissed a married man and you had the audacity of calling me a prick?!"

((god i love them))
Zippy blinked at him. "David. I said that he kissed me. Then he left and I came to you. Even though I had no goddamn clue how to find you. Doesn't that mean anything to you?"

((Me too!! They're such a weird couple, but it works!))
He frowned, setting his jaw. "Did you kiss him back?"

Zippy nodded. "I did. But I thought of you." She sighed, and leaned against a bench. "I ran into him while I was selling. He saw I looked upset and bought me a few drinks. He tends to go overboard, and I have a history of getting highly intoxicated when I'm with him."

He sighed, but kept his hold on her because her well-being was more important than his bruised ego and trampled heart.
"Let's just--get you home."

"David, I thought you were done with me!" Zippy babbled on, looking up at him, "And, we never said we were exclusive, we had only been on two dates! And Tristan is the one who screwed up, not me! I didn't even know he was married!"
