((Gah, wrong character, sorry. And my proxy server won't let me delete posts...it's weird.))
"It's okay...I like the dark," Wraith admitted, before leaning over the trunk to help Fire rummage through it. A shiver ran through her that had more to do with their close proximity than the cold. Her arm brushed lightly against Fire's as she pushed aside a pile of old shoes and triumphantly pulled out a big, fluffy quilt.

((Hmmm... weird! haha. Whatever, no big deal!)
Fire leaned over the edge of the trunk and helped to pull out the rest of the quilt. "Well, that will definitely keep us warm!" She carefully picked herself up before moving to the next trunk.
"Hopefully we can either find another blanket or a change of clothes," she explained before leaning into the next trunk, her hands rummaging through its contents. "Or, well, anything that will help these clothes dry."

Wraith joined her in her search, casting an occasional longing glance at the giant quilt. She was shivering harder than ever in her sodden clothes and hoped something would turn up soon. She scooted a little closer to Fire, just so they could soak up some of each other's heat. Fire. Heat. She smiled to herself. So many bad puns.
So many shining, wet strands of red hair clinging to her face, falling into her sparkling eyes, spilling across the front of her dress and emphasizing the way it clung to her chest and her hips and...
Wraith swallowed hard and concentrated very intently on the hunt for dry clothes.
((Bedtime for me! 'Night! <3))

"Have you found anything yet?" Fire asked softly, her shoulder lightly brushing against Wraith's. She dug to the bottom of the trunk, but only managed to find a set of bedsheets that never seemed to have found its way downstairs.
"If we don't find something soon, I'll have no choice but to improvise," she joked, holding up the sheet. "Sitting in soaking wet clothes for this long can't be good."

"I vote for that," she said with a laugh and another violent shiver. She'd found a couple dresses, but they were much too big and too moth-eaten; they'd probably fall apart the second anyone tried to put them on.
Pulling out one of the sheets, she gave Fire a half-nervous, half-mischievous look, then turned away and hesitantly started unbuttoning her blouse.

Fire watched Wraith for a moment, waiting to see what she was going to do in order to transform that old bedsheet into something almost-wearable. She quickly looked away, however, not wanting Wraith to think that she was staring. She laughed softly and pulled the sheet she was holding all the way out of the trunk. "This is all kind of silly, isn't it?" she asked with a quick laugh.
She turned her back to the other girl and started to carefully unbutton her shirt. Her hands fumbled a little more than usual, the fabric clinging to her skin more than she had thought it would.

((So my Internet hates me lately--which is nothing new, actually--and I feel like I'm always randomly vanishing. So sorry!)) Wraith swallowed several times, trying to keep her eyes on her own buttons. Soon enough, they were all open, and she shrugged off her blouse to reveal a damp petticoat underneath. Wrapping the sheet firmly around her shoulders, she turned toward the wall and peeled off the petticoat too, then looped the sheet over her chest and let it cover her whole body like a toga. After which she finally shimmied out of her skirt, blushing and looking steadily at the floor.

((lol, don't worry about it! I mean, I'm the one who disappeared for over a month, haha! I don't think I have much room to talk in terms of running off. <3))
Fire's heart pounded in her chest as she carefully slipped out of the wet clingy fabric once known as her shirt. After successfully tugging her arms out of the sleeves, she set the shirt on top of the trunk. Maybe, with a little luck, their clothes would at least be dry enough to wear back down into the bunkroom in the morning.
She wrapped the sheet around her, carefully tying it off to form a makeshift gown, of sorts. It wasn't quite Wraith's toga, but it would have to do the trick. She bunched up the bottom of the sheet with one hand, using the other to help guide herself out of her skirt. She felt it fall to the floor and let out a small sigh of relief, glad that the 'clingy clothing ordeal' was done and over with.
"Well... That feels a bit better," she remarked softly. Slowly, she turned back around to face Wraith, her face immediately growing hot when she saw the look on the other girl's face. "What is it?"

"N-nothing." She raised her chin and added with solemn dignity, "I think we look perfectly lovely in our sheets." By which I mean you, of course. She wrapped her arms around herself, still shivering a little, and reached for the quilt. "Want to share?"

Fire blushed slightly and bit down lightly on her lower lip. "We do look rather lovely, don't we?"
She took a step closer to Wraith and nodded slowly, a loose curl falling in front of her eyes. "Certainly," she replied quietly. "I doubt we'd have much luck finding another one, anyway."

Wraith's smile widened, and she threw the quilt over both their shoulders, sinking to the floor so they could huddle in its comforting folds. "This isn't so bad. Kinda cozy, really."

"It's because you're here," Fire half-teased, a smirk coming across her face. She sank down to the floor so she was resting beside Wraith and, yawning softly, gently rested her head on the girl's shoulder. She glanced up at Wraith and her smile only brightened. "I had fun tonight. Thank you. For everything -- even the rainstorm."

Wraith laughed and wrapped an arm around her shyly, snuggling a little bit closer. "I had fun, too." She turned her head, and their lips were inches apart. This time, she didn't hesitate--just kissed her.

Fire smiled slowly as she returned the kiss. Her arm snaked carefully around Wraith's waist as her free hand traveled slowly up the side of her face, her fingertips brushing lightly over her skin. Going to the attic, she decided, was most definitely a better idea than going into the bunkroom.
