"Red," she answered, cracking some eggs into a bowl before pouring them into a frying pan. "Hey, maybe I'll go change into a Christmas outfit I bought myself and we can set the camera up on the tripod and take a family picture!"

He laughed. "Oh, geez. With all of us wearin' red? Like one a' those matchy-matchy pictures?" He changed the baby into her dress, Savannah fussing a little. He smirked at her, saying softly. "I know. I think it's a little much, too."

Rose rolled her eyes, scrambling the eggs, flipping the pancakes, and frying the bacon all at the same time. She felt kinda like Wonder Woman. "No, that's lame. You can wear that blue shirt I got you, and I'll wear this white sweater I got. Geez, Tyler, do you think I'm that cheesy?"

He snorted. "So we look like the damn American flag? It's Christmas, Rosie, not the Fourth a' July." He picked the baby back up, bouncing her a little in his arms. "Mama's gone crazy, Sugar."

"Okay, fine, we won't take a picture," she replied, turning her back to them. Ever since Savannah was born, Rose had become a bit sensitive. It was beginning to even annoy her, and she was hoping it wouldn't last long.

He sighed, moving over to her. "Rosie...Rosie, I didn't mean it like that. I was only teasin'..." He leaned down, kissing her temple. "I like the all red idea."

"No, I wasn't lying, that's lame. Taking a picture is lame," she said, plating the eggs and pancakes.

"Rose, taking a picture is not lame. It's Savannah's first Christmas. There oughta be a picture." He waited until she put the plates on the table, then took hold of her arm, holding Savannah in his other. "Rose, baby. I'm sorry."

She sighed, feeling a bit ridiculous. "I'll wear purple then. You just wear whatever you want," she said, leaning over to kiss Savannah. "She looks kinda silly in that dress. I was in a shopping frenzy, I'm not very proud of myself."

"The dress is cute. It's our baby. She could be wearin' a paper bag and she'd still be the prettiest." He kissed Rose's lips. He was a little worried about her mood swings in the last few months. "I wanna wear red. I'll wear this plaid, 'cause ya like it. And I like that shiny red sweater that falls off yer shoulders."

She nodded, standing in front of him and buttoning up his shirt. "Maybe...maybe it's the birth control doing weird things to my hormones," she said softly, as if she didn't want Savannah to hear.

He nodded. "And havin' babies messes with yer system. You just gotta get used to it, that's all."

She stood on her toes and kissed him, glad he was so understanding. "Now eat before everything gets cold."

He laughed, putting the baby in her swing chair they kept by the table. "You gonna make her a bottle, or you want me to do it?"

"I'll do it, I know you must be hungry," she said with a wink. She grabbed a bottle from the fridge and put it in the microwave.
