eli wasn't going to argue with that. He laughed and ran to catch up with her and quickly slipped out of his winter boots and felt the sand in between his toes. Epic.

Trixie dropped the bag of food, pulling her boots and stockings off, then hitched her skirt up to walk to the edge of the water, wiggling her toes in the wet sand and taking a deep breath of salty hair. This was very nearly perfect.

Eli watched her, all smiles, and realized the first chance he got, he would schlep Erin all the way down here too. He glanced back at the sunrise, and joined Trixie on the edge of the water.

She held her skirt up, letting the waves hit her ankles. She looked out at the horizon. "Eli...thank you."
