"No you're not. You're hot as helll. And sexy. And smart, and nice. You are everything I want in a guy, people are just jealous and judgmental. I'm bringing you to a party this weekend so everyone can get to know you better and get out of my hair." she was pretty upset and nearly missed a red light, slamming on her breaks.

David instinctively stuck his arm out to keep Erin from flying forward. "Sweetie, be careful. Don't be upset."

"I know, I know. I'm sorry." She sighed, driving better now towards her house. "Maybe I'll just throw a party. Have people on my own turf. My parents forgot a few things at the beach house so they'll be gone Friday night...Eli can get us beer...What do you think? You can invite your math and acadeca-whatever its called friends."

He arched a brow at her. "You really wanna throw a party, sweetie?" He didn't want to be a bigger bother than he was now. He didn't want to embarrass her.

"Yeah, why not." She sighed again, annoyed. "It really would be easier if I had a phone, I could have just texted Brooke and she could have frickin' spread the word."

He sighed, patting her thigh as she finished driving to her house. "Erin, relax. You can tell her tomorrow."

Erin pulled into her driveway, still pretty irritated. "well...this is it." She got out of her car and took his hand, leading him inside.

He glanced around, squeezing her hand. "It's nice, Erin. Your parents have a great place." It was his goal in life to have a career that would make him enough money to lead a nice life for his future family.

"Yeah, I like it. I sort of wish we had a pool out back like the neighbors, but you can have it all," erin replied, entering her kitchen and immediately searching her pantry for an oreo.

He moved to sit on a chair at the bar in the kitchen, watching her. "We have a pool. Hot tub, too. You can come use it whenever you want to."

Erin grinned. "That sounds nice. Sounds like a damn good promotion your father got." She leaned over the counter, kissing him.
Erin's mom walked in then. "Oh, hello David!" She greeted with a large smile. "Erin told us the surprise! How wonderful to see you!" She hugged him and handed Erin a box. "Got your phone fixed." Erin squeeled and began to text Brooke about her party.

David greeted Erin's mom with a smile. "Hi, Mrs. Green. It's good to see you again. Mind if I hang out here a while? I'm helping Erin with her math homework."

"Oh thank god!" Mrs. Green replied dramatically, and Erin rolled her eyes. "Stay as long as you like. You were around all the time anyway over the summer, so what's the difference now."
Erin chuckled and sat down next to David. "Brooke is spreading the word," she mumbled to him.

He nodded, waiting until Mrs. Green walked out of the room before asking, "You sure your parents won't get mad?"

"Oh, they'll be furious if they found out," Erin told him, offering him an oreo. ((last post ))
