Wait, what?
Erin stopped sobbing and glanced out the window, blinking a few times. She quickly got out of the car, and wiped her eyes again, staring at him for a minute.
"Well," she began, her lip bottom lip quivering, "if I knew you were coming by, I woulda freshened up or something.." She started crying again, and embraced him.

He wrapped his arms around her, holding her tightly. He could hardly believe he was here, and she was here and he was holding her again. "God, I missed you. I missed you so much."

She tried to pull herself together. Erin hadn't even cried when he'd left so she guessed this was making up for it, and she was miserable right now. "You smell the same." She could hardly manage she was such a mess. She had so many questions.
"Dave...what are you doing here!"

He cradled her face in his hands, kissing her. "We moved here! Last week! I--I kept trying to call you! I didn't know this was your school."

"Wha--? You, you live here? HERE?" She blinked at him, hardly believing it. People who were still hanging around school were beginning to stare. "Lemme give you a ride home...Actually, you drive, I'm not supposed to drive when I'm crying." she handed him her keys. She also wanted to stare at him and the road was much less important.

David nodded, tossing his backpack into the back seat and getting into the car. "Tell me where I'm going, I still don't know my way around."

"Go out that way and make a left or right on that street, depending on where you live." She touched his arm.

He turned onto the main street, glancing at her. "I did! A hundred times! You never wrote back, Erin."

"I didn't get any emails! I check all the time!" She sighed, trying to get a hold of herself. "And my phone broke. My parents have been too busy to get me a new one."

He sighed. "Erin, I don't know what to tell you. I emailed at least once a day since Santa Cruz." He parked her car on the curb outside his house, but didn't get out right away.

"Well thats awfully strange, isn't it?" She sighed. "It was partially my fault, I lost your email address. And anyway, it doesn't matter now. I can't believe you are here!" She squeeled and kissed him.

He laughed, kissing her back. "I can't tell you how good it is to see you!" He got out of the car, grabbing his bag. "Come on, nobody's home."

"You didn't tell me you were moving..." Erin began, following him inside. The place was packed with boxes. They should had gone to her house. "Wouldn't that have been something that would have came up in conversation over the summer?"

He sighed, leading her to his room. He done most of his unpacking and organizing already. "I didn't know until after we got back home. Dad got a promotion."
