He caught her wrist in his hand, kissing it. "I shoulda' gotten you something pretty. Something shiny."
Trixie blushed, but stuck her tongue out at them. "Ya done? That mean we can have the room now?"

"Stop. I love my book. And my pencils. That makes me so much happier than jewelry and you know it." She gazed at him, wondering how on Earth she found someone as amazing as David.
Luke chuckled. "Yeah we're done, but we were hoping to hang out with you guys a little." Luke had his guitar in his hand. "Char said if I played something, you'd dance for us." Eli brightened and nodded. "Yeah Lucas! Play us something nice so my girl can shake it'."

David cradled her face in his hands. "One a' these days, I'm gonna have enough money to buy you something real fancy. A ring." An engagement ring.
Trixie sighed dramatically, rolling her eyes as she got off of Eli's lap. "Oh, lord. I'm off the clock, ya know."

Zippy blushed. "I don't need anything fancy. Just you." But the thought of a ring...she wondered how a ring like that would look on her finger.
"Yeah, but Luke hates it when I dance at the hall. He doesnt like gawking at me with all the rest of the men. I promised him a private show." Charlotte explained, smiling at Luke. Luke nodded and began strumming his guitar. Eli reached to strum a string and Luke hit his hand away.

David kissed her forehead, then her nose, then her lips. He'd already made big plans in his head, imagining out their lives together. When he heard music from the living room, he smiled a little. "Guess we're missing the party."
Trixie laughed, tugging Eli off the couch. "Dance with me. Only way I'm dancin' tonight is if it's with you."

Zippy smiled when she heard Luke's guitar and rolled out of bed, reaching for her dress and handed him his pants.
Charlotte began to dance and Eli groaned obnoxiously, standing up and taking her in his arms. "Don't judge me when I'm a terrible dancer," eli told her, but then twirled her and pulled her to him, moving ot the music.

David grinned at her, getting dressed again. "You look sexy with your hair all mussed like that."
Trixie laughed, moving with him, one arm around his shoulders, the other hand holding his. "Ya ain't so bad, baby. I've danced with worse."

She gasped and quickly ran a comb through her hair, searching the bed for her ribbon. "Thank goodness I didn't walk out like that."
"Bet ya have," Eli replied, dipping her.

David laughed, handing her her ribbon. "Here it is. And I wouldn't have minded. Like I said. You look sexy."
Trixie giggled, looking up at him from the dip, meeting his eyes. "Never had anything so good as you, Eli."

Zippy laughed. "I know you wouldn't have, but..." She shrugged, placing it back into her hair. "It's a party after all."
"You make me blush," Eli joked, and then grabbed Charlotte, twirling her as well.

David took her hand, kissing her knuckles before leading her back out to the living room.
Trixie laughed as both she and Charlotte danced with Eli. When she saw David and Erin, she grinned. "Hey, 'bout time you two stopped bonin' long enough to be decent company."

Zippy blushed, giving Trixie her own special grin when Eli came out of nowhere and pulled her into the dance party.
"We should light the Chanukah candles," Eli suggested, twirling Zippy.
"We don't have a menorah." Zippy reminded him with a laugh.
"We DON'T?! Then what was that thing I found under the sink earlier today?" Eli asked her, with a joking grin and hopped over the couch, opening up the cupboard and pulling out a small brass menorah. Zippy gasped, and Luke strummed his guitar even louder for effect.
"Happy Chanukah, Erin Green," Eli pulled her close for a hug. Luke magically appeared with candles.

David had to smile, despite himself. Eli loved Erin. David couldn't deny that anymore. "Anybody got matches?"
Trixie smiled, biting her lip as she watched the siblings embrace. When they'd broken apart, she went to Eli, sliding her arms around his waist. "That was awful sweet of you, Eli."

Eli shrugged as Erin placed the menorah on the windowsill, Luke handing her matches along with the candles. "I wanted one too." eli wrapped an arm around Trixie but he was smiling, watching Erin prepare it. She kind of looked like their mother.

David stood by Erin as she lit the candles, admiring her face in the flickering light. "You're so pretty."
Trixie sighed softly, happy in his arms. "Merry Christmas, Eli. And Happy Hanukkah."
