She giggled, curling against him. "Mm, you're the best."

"So are you," Eli replied, hugging her to him and shutting his eyes. ((zoom?))

((okay! but nothing's set in stone! we'll just see where it takes us. beauty of rp!))
True to his word, Eli actually began jotting ideas down about a play. He wasn't actually all that serious about it, but he was itching to write and to imagine it all in his head. A few days later, he was working hard at work, about to leave and go see Trixie dance at the hall.

((Whoo!))
Trixie, as promised, wore her red dress for him that night. Problem was, it attracted every guy in the joint, and she was near exhausted of dancing and flirting by the time he got there.

One man in particular, named John Anderson, took a liking to Trixie and sent her a rose and a glass of wine backstage, urging her out to come talk to him.

She did, only because she'd need a drink like crazy by that point. And the rose was a sweet gesture. Typical, but sweet.
She approached him, smiling coyly. "John Anderson?"

"That's me," Anderson remarked, smiling when he saw her. "You were great up there. You can call me John." He took her hand, kissing it.

She blushed, as would be expected. "Thanks, John. For the wine, and flower. I'm Trixie, by the way."

"Do you have a real name, Trixie?" John asked her, his clothes and posture alluding to the fact that he had money.

She blushed for real this time. "Natalie. No one ever calls me by it."

"Natalie," John repeated, smiling at her. "Take a seat. Tell me about yourself." He invited her to sit at his table.

She did, subtly glancing around for Eli. He still wasn't here. She turned her focus back to John. "There ain't--'scuse me, isn't much to tell, really. What about you? What d'ya do, John?"

He smiled, reaching into his briefcase and pulling out a businesscard, sliding it over to her. He took a sip from his beer. "I'm a director. I work in the theater district. If you ever want to get together," he smirked at her, "...you should let me know. Come by my office."

She couldn't help but gasp a little. "A director!" Her smile brightened, picking up his card like it was gold in her hands. "My--my...friend. He's writing a play. If he finished it, could he bring it to you? And I'm pretty sure I'm good enough to be a chorus girl."
