"Really?" She smiled brightly, though it was the kind of smile that only served to emphasize how nervous she was. Pounding heart, sweaty palms, the whole deal. Suddenly, everything else seemed to fall away--Sebastian and his dangerous schemes, Script and her tears, the all-too-recent memories of the blood of people she loved. There was only here and now. Only Felicia "Firecracker" Williams. And Wraith was elated and terrified all at once.
"Are we...?" She swallowed and started over. "I mean...I k-know we haven't known each other that long. And...we both have a habit of disappearing. But we always seem to find each other again." She fiddled with a wayward strand of hair. "A-and I was wondering...do you think we should be...can two girls even be..." She swallowed again and almost whispered the last word. "...together?"

"I think," she began after a lengthy pause, "that if two girls... want to be, well, together... and if they both have an understanding of the situation then... why not?" She could practically feel her voice shake when she spoke.
She carefully lifted her eyes to look up at Wraith, a smile slowly coming across her face. "I think that, if I had more of a reason to stay, I would be less likely to keep with my habit of disappearing."

"Me too," Wraith said after taking a moment or two to process what Fire was saying. A smile was spreading slowly across her face, and it wasn't the least bit shaky or strained. "So does this mean that we're..." She was going about this all wrong. She cleared her throat and stood up, curtsying formally. "Felicia Williams, will you be my girl...and can I be yours?" she half-whispered.

"Oh, Clara Pearson," Fire blushed, covering her mouth with her hand. She nodded quickly and quickly stood up. She threw her arms around Wraith and hugged her tightly. "Of course you can be mine, Clara," she whispered back even though she was fairly confident that no one else could hear their conversation. "There's no one else I'd rather be with." Not even Nevada.

Wraith beamed like a maniac. In spite of everything. She forgot that anyone else in the world existed, she beamed at Fire, and she kissed her. Even though they weren't in a hiding place or a graveyard or some deserted alley, even though they were standing right in their own parlor that they shared with dozens of other kids, she kissed her, holding her close and wishing she could tell the world.

Fire smiled into the kiss and let her arms slide slowly around Wraith's back. Her palms pressed lightly against the small of Wraith's back as she gently pulled her closer. She was almost positive that Wraith could feel how fast her heart was beating, but she didn't care. In the back of her mind, she knew that someone could come in at any moment, but even that fact wasn't about to scare her away from the reality of what was happening at that moment. "Mmmm, someone could find us," she whispered after she broke the kiss, giggling as she kissed the corner of Wraith's mouth. "Do you care?"

She grinned and kissed her again, letting her lips linger on Fire's for a moment before pulling away reluctantly. "I know I should," she said ruefully, "but it's hard to worry about anything right now."
((To bed with me! 'Night! <3))

((haha night! <3 <3))
"Same here," she whispered, letting her fingertips slowly run up Wraith's spine. She rested her head on Wraith's shoulder, gently nuzzling the side of her neck. "It's late... I don't think anyone else is awake."

"Lucky us," she murmured, wrapping her arms around Fire. She kissed her cheek, then her earlobe, then nibbled gently, her eyes shining with playful delight. It didn't even matter right now that it was secret, that it was forbidden...because unlike any other relationship she'd ever had, at least the two people involved had actually dared to speak its name. To make it real.

"It's the only thing luck has done for me in a long time," Fire joked softly. She let out a content sigh before carefully picking her head back up, lightly kissing along the other girl's jawline. Up until this moment, she had never imagined that she was capable of genuinely being this happy -- yet here she was, her arms wrapped up around someone who finally made her happy.
"I wish I could be like this all the time," she added after a moment's pause, her voice practically a whisper. "Just you, me, and not a care in the world."

"Me too," Wraith said emphatically, closing her eyes to imagine that wonderful scenario--and then opening them so she could look into her girl's eyes. My girl. She could barely restrain herself from leaping and dancing and shouting, and those were not exactly activities that she was prone to. "I know it can't always be just us," she said tentatively, touching Fire's face, "but we can at least do our best to keep the cares away." A spark of hope entered her eyes. "I know a place--" But she quickly trailed off and shook her head. "Never mind. It's not worth the risk."

"No, no.... tell me," Fire insisted, intrigued by whatever idea it was swirling around in Wraith's mind at that moment. She bit lightly on her lower lip and let her hands slide down Wraith's back until they came to rest on her hips. She sighed and took in a slow breath. "I can ignore the risk if it means we can be together."

From the sensations that ran through Wraith when Fire's hands touched her hips, she figured it was kind of an unfair tactic. Nevertheless, she answered recklessly. "I know a place where we could go dancing and no one would care." She met Fire's eyes. "It's in...kind of a dodgy area, though." To say the least.

Fire took in a slow breath as she considered what Wraith had said. She loved the idea of being able to dance with her without anyone caring, but... just how dodgy was dodgy? "How so?" she asked, her forehead wrinkling. "I guess what I'm asking is, will we make it out alive or be carried out on a stretcher?"

"That's a very good question," Wraith said grimly. "It's, um...well, it's in Five Points." She wasn't sure how well Fire knew New York, but it was hard not to hear about the Points. They were like Satan's backyard. "I was there with my brother a couple years ago...we wandered pretty much everywhere. And I sneaked off to explore one night, which was incredibly stupid, but I was kind of a stupid kid--anyway, I found this dance hall."
She smiled to herself at the memory. "It was like nothing I've ever seen before. There were men wearing rouge," she confided in a whisper. "Even a couple women in trousers. I was terrified out of my mind, honestly, but then this girl asked me to dance..." She sat there in silence for a moment with a faraway look in her eyes, then shook off the memory and returned to practical matters. "Like I said, it is in Five Points. But I'm pretty good at getting places without being seen, and if...if you trust me, I could teach you to do it, too." She held her breath.
