Trixie frowned, hugging Duncan as she sat on the floor beside the baby, calming him down. "Eli, I told you how much the dress was when I picked it! I asked if it was okay, and ya said yes!"

Once he was gone Trixie sniffled, frowning down at Duncan in her lap. Then she gathered Lori into her arms, muttering to herself. "The weddin's this weekend, and Daddy ain't even been around, has he? Been nothin' but in a bad mood." And unhappy. More than anything, she worried he was unhappy with their life.

She sighed, rolling onto her back, turning her head to look at him. "Eli, we're gettin' married on Saturday. Instead of bein' happy, you've been miserable. You keep snappin' at me, at Duncun...Duncun doesn't understand, he think he did something wrong to make Daddy mad." He'd told her as much as she put him to bed.

"I haven't worked this hard in my life, Trix! I'm sorry. And Duncan will get over it." He pointed out. "Besides, my play is wrapping up, the last show is tomorrow. Then I will only be helpin' for Paul's play and I'll be much less stressed. Okay?" sometimes Trixie didn't understand. Or even try to understand how hard he always worked. It's a long day then he had to come home and Duncan always tired him out and Trixie always nagging him about something....

"I've been around! How could you say that!" Eli was upset now. "I come home for dinner nearly every night and I play with both kids! I come home grumpy one night and then all these accusations come out!" Eli stood up, putting his pants back on.

Trixie sat up, staring at him. "Eli, I--this hasn't been just one night, Eli. You come home for dinner and inhale it so you can leave again. You play with the kids for five minutes. You're moody all the time and--and mean...you've been mean. What's gotten into you, lately?"

Eli couldn't believe this. He slipped his clothes back on. "I'm at work ALL DAY. And then I come home, eat, and its all the same. Day in and day out. Its just...not fun anymore!" he grabbed his wallet. "I'm going out. Don't wait up."
