Mikey covered his mouth his hands.
"his mother was tragically killed in a car accident. It hasn't been easy on anyone, and Mikey and me are still adjusting, but he's fine." he glanced at Mikey and smiled. "he's the best son I coulda asked for."

Erin grinned at Mikey. "the best!" she agreed.
"Seems like the kid won the lottery in you, Tristan," the interviewer commented. "Does this mean you are taking a break from music?"

"Actually I'm not. I'm working on a new album at the moment. I'm not rushing anything though so when I'm satisfied with it then I'll start recording and get it out to the public. I'm moving a little slower these days. Taking my time with things. I've missed enough in my life, ya know?"
Mikey was beaming, "You know...I love him. He's definitely my dad."

Mikey ran over to his dad and Tristan leaned over and picked him up. "you liked it?" he asked him. Mikey nodded.
"can we get milkshakes?" he asked his father. Tristan raised an eyebrow. "who gave you chocolate?"
"the nice makeup lady!"

Tristan laughed,. "so do I? Come on let's go home." Mikey rested his cheek against his father's shoulder.
"You're gonna be on tv later right?" Mikey asked him.
"Yep. We don't have to watch it though," He kissed the top of the his head and then held out his hand to Erin.
