Eli Green sat in the principal's office, blowing large bubbles with his bubble gum and making faces at the kid sitting next to him.
"So, did your mom iron your suit for you, or are you always perfect?" Eli asked him, laughing.
"Eli Green." The vice principal came out to greet him, and gestured for him to follow her into his office.
"Gotta go!" Eli grabbed the guy's hand and did an awesome handshake with him. The boy just sat there, blinking at him. Eli winked, laughed again, and followed the VP into her office.
He walked out 10 minutes later, scowling at his uniform and at his schedule.

Trixie was late to class. Again. But she wasn't in any hurry. Her heels clicked against the floor as she walked to her locker. She flicked her hair back before trying to remember what her stupid combo was. "Dammit....34....17--no, 7--no, 17..."

Eli smirked when he saw a pretty blond walk past him. He had sent in his application for The Academy last year on account that he was practically kicked out of his old school, not to mention his old ghetto high school didn't offer AP English.
But fine blondes like her...well, those weren't offered at his old high school either. He followed her, sticking his uniform in his bag. She was perfectly polished, had a great body, and that uniform looked fantastic on her.
"Hey Sunshine." Eli leaned against the locker next to hers. "I'm Eli. I'm a Sagittarius, I like a good Bradbury novel, and I absolutely adore the way that skirt looks on you."

Trixie glanced over at him, quirking her brow, but otherwise her face looked bored. "You're new." She turned back to her locker, biting her bottom lip as she finally managed to get it open. "Natalie." She glanced at him again. "You're not from around here."

"Beautiful and smart," Eli replied, smirking at her. "They don't make them like you where I come from, Sweets."

Something flashed across her eyes, but otherwise it didn't show on her face. When people said stuff like that, they were usually making fun of her and teasing her about being stupid. "And where do you come from?"

"You know. The part of LA I'm sure you Pops won't let you go..." He smirked at her again, and held out his uniform. "Do I really have to wear this?"

Trixie smirked at him, closing her locker and leaning back against it, facing him. "You'll look hot in the tie."

Eli chuckled. "If I can figure out how to put the damn thing on, I hope so." He stroked her cheek before beginning to walk away.
"Hope to see you around, Miss Natalie."

Natalie smirked, watching him go, then headed to class. The new kid was stuck in her brain though, and she found herself tying to learn about it. She heard from one of the kids who volunteered in the office that he was a scholarship kid. They hardly had any of those.
After lunch, she ditched 5th period to sneak behind the bleachers for a cigarette.

It had been a tough morning. The teachers at this school were annoyed by his charm rather than amused by it, and his classes were tough. Being on scholarship meant he had all the hardest classes which was fine, he should have been challenged academically like this long ago, but he already had a headache.
On top of all this, it seemed like the rich kids didn't like him, which through him for a loop. Even the latinos liked him at his old school. During lunch, he had spotted Natalie from across the courtyard and ended up following her behind the bleachers.
"Blondie!" he gasped, faking his shock as he grinned at her. "Didn't take you for a smoking type. How's my tie?"

Trixie smirked at him, in the middle of lighting up. "I saw you coming, New Kid. Don't act like you didn't follow me on purpose." And she was a little intrigued that he did. She reached out, straightening his tie. "Looks good."

"I'm not acting anything. I did follow you out here on purpose," he told her, with a large grin. "It's a jungle out there, Goldie. No wonder you are hiding out here to smoke."

Trixie smirked around her cigarette, then let out a stream of smoke. She offered him the cigarette. "No one knows I come out here. If they do, they don't care. I get away with murder around here."

Eli took it, taking a drag, blowing it out the side of his mouth. "I can tell. But I'd rather hear why from you, Kitten."
