Natalie had just slipped a hand under Eli's shirt when there was a buzz and the a voice over the intercom. "Breakfast is ready, Miss Natalie. You need to take your medication."

She rolled her eyes, but got out of bed. "Come on. Nora'll feed you, too." She tugged his arm to get him out of bed.

Natalie smirked. "Trust me, Nora won't say anything. Besides, you'll probably end up charming her anyway." She led him downstairs, to the smell of pancakes and bacon.

Nora was a grandmotherly woman, shorter even than Natalie, and round with a kind looking face. She served them both a plate. "This the boy you were telling me about, Nettie?"
Natalie blushed, sitting beside Eli. "Uh, yeah. This is Eli."

Nora smirked, eying Natalie. "Of course she did. Though, she didn't seem to mention just how adorable you were."
Natalie looked horrified. "Nora!"

Natalie shot him a glare. "Oh, shut up."
Nora laughed, then took out a pill bottle from a cabinet. She opened it and laid two pills beside Natalie's plate. "There's a pot roast in the crock pot. It'll be ready for dinner. You can handle lunch." She kissed her temple. "I'll see you tomorrow. Have your laundry collected to be done." She waved goodbye to Eli, winking at him, then left for the day.
