During the crowd's standing ovation, Eli came out onto the stage, a bouquet of daisies in his hand. Everyone was cheering for him.
He couldn't believe people actually liked his play.
"And this is for the beautiful Natalie Duncan. Thank you for everything." He handed Trixie the flowers.

Trixie took the daisies, beaming at him, then took another bow, waving as the curtains finally closed. Once they were, she threw her arms around him, kissing him fiercely.

He nodded. He was glad the cast party was tomorrow night and not now. They had a lot to talk about.
When they finally got home, Eli pulled her close. "I got you something."

Eli stood up. "Well, not...you. The baby. I saw it yesterday and liked it." he led her into the bedroom and handed her bright green rattle. "it makes a lot of noise. I figure any kid of mine would want to make a lot of noise."

She blinked at it, then laughed, giving it a little shake. She turned to him, eyes watering. "So...you really wanna keep it..?"
