Nevada frowned as she realized what she said. 'can we pretend I didn't say that?' she asked, embarrassed.
Shit she really needed to pay better attention to herself because this was awkward.

Nevada scrunched her nose at his usage of dear. 'now you're just making fun of me,' she said with a laugh. She laid down beside him and rested her head on his chest.
'you did have quite a night last night-you deserve a day in bed.' she said planting a kiss on his chest.

Tristan wrapped an arm around her and sighed, looking down at her. "Or at least the morning and I ain't making fun, I'm teasing ya." He said with a smile. "It's cute. So if you get to call me dear what do I get to call you?" he gently ran his fingers through her hair.

Nevada burst out laughing, 'sorry I wasn't expecting that at all.' she said before burying her face in his chest. She hated the way he made her feel because she knew she wasn't worth it. She squeezed the arm she had around him tighter and sighed.
'how's the hang over treating you?' she asked finally looking up at him.

Nevada laughed, 'you sure do.' she said softly. 'you needed a night to get heinously drunk after what you learned yesterday.' she paused, trying to collect her thoughts, trying to think of how to ask her next question, 'when is she leaving with Mikey?' she asked, hoping it came across gently.

Nevada gave him a sad smile, 'I'll be here for you,' she said reassuringly. She wished she could take away his pain and felt helpless. 'visit him as much as you can....could....could I meet him?' she asked softly. She knew she was asking him something big and expected him to say no. She just really wanted to see him as a father.
