Nevada nodded slowly, 'yes he and Kennedy,' she said, furrowing her eyebrows at the look on Wraith's face, 'why?'

"N-no reason. I just didn't know. Is it strange having her live here with you, then?" She was trying valiantly not to think about this new piece of information. She knew Kennedy had been with plenty of people, guys and girls, but this was just too disturbing.

Nevada stared at Wraith blankly for a moment, 'I really don't like thinking about it. It's easier for me to think of Kennedy as a child rather then someone my husband fucked.' Nevada said stiffly.

[Wraith]

Wraith nodded weakly. She certainly didn't think of Kennedy as a child. All things considered, that would be even more disturbing. "Well, I'm sure she'll be back soon..." She glanced at the door. Where was Kenny at this time of the evening, anyway?

'ya, I'm sure.' Nevada said looking around the room. She groaned as she heard Lucy crying. 'One moment,' she said standing up and getting Lucy from her room. 'hello sleepy girl,' she said, carrying her out into the living room where Wraith was. 'they never can sleep for very long.' she said tiredly.

[Wraith]

"Oh!" Wraith whispered, leaning close to peer at the little redheaded baby. "She's adorable." She glanced at Nevada's tired face. "Although I can see how that might wear off after she wakes up a few times..."

'no....she is adorable. All the time. And I love her.....so much more then anything I ever thought I could feel,' she said, kissing Lucy's head, 'I just really miss sleep.' Nevada said, smilibg

[Wraith]

Wraith nodded understandingly and smiled at Lucy, reaching out a finger to touch one of her tiny little hands. Despite the weirdness and craziness of this whole household, it was still more peaceful than the lodging house--especially now that she and Nevada were maybe on the verge of getting along. She almost wished she could move in, though she certainly wasn't about to mention that.

'have you ever wanted children?' Nevada asked, already assuming the answer was no. 'I don't think I ever did.' she admitted, 'but now I'm happy.'

"I used to," Wraith admitted, "but I don't think it'll ever happen. I just...can't really see myself with a husband."

((Haha! It would be hilarious, but kind of awesome. She really hasn't got anyone in Manhattan except her brother, and he'd just drop by and visit all the time.))

Nevada shrugged, 'i couldn't actually ever picture you being married,' she admitted. She couldn't picture someone so skittish in any sort of relationship.

Wraith shook her head. "I'll just be an old maid. Maybe get an apartment with some other old maid, and we'll have a bunch of cats and a little roof garden," she joked. She just neglected to mention what she and her hypothetical roommate would be getting up to behind closed doors.

Nevada laughed, 'that sounds incredibly.....uneventful.' she said, thinking of all the sex she wouldn't be having with all those cats around. 'whatever pleases you I guess.'

"Uneventful would be nice," Wraith said, thinking back on the past year of her life--hell, on all of her life. "Uneventful sounds wonderful."
