Piper glanced at Gypsy. This girl was totally throwing her off. She decided to let Jimmy win, missing the next few shots.

Gypsy quirked a brow, watching Piper. She knew damn well that girl missed those shots on purpose. But why? What the hell for?

When he came back, Piper handed him a beer, with a shy smile. "I'm sorry, she made me kind of nervous....I saw her checking me out from across the bar, I wasn't sure what she wanted."

"My grandmother. She's sick so I moved in," Piper explained, with a shrug. "My first time at a Brooklyn pub. Made $10 bucks and I'm pretty sure an enemy out of your friend Gypsy. Coulda been worse."

Piper nodded. "That's life. She keeps to herself, mostly. Its better than living with my mother. She's a madame and there's constantly whores bumming around our place." She chuckled a bit, used the same stories on every guy, and by now she lied so naturally.
