Monday waved his hand for another drink, then turned back to Tristan. The guy clearly didn't trust him, for good reason, but Monday was bored, and there wasn't any outright hostility, at least.
"You a born and bred Brooky?" he asked casually as he took his drink from the barmaid.

This was shaping up to be an entirely different evening than he'd expected -- it was odd to talk to someone who wasn't frightened of him or taking orders from him. "Kinda miss Queens, though," he said. "Things move slower there."
