Aiden gave her an amused look before adding, "Mr. Helberg is eyeing you. Go ask him to dance. Try to persuade him to buy te theater."

Rae rolled her eyes but headed over to mr.helberg anyway. She held her hand to him with a smile, "I couldn't help but notice your admiring gaze."

Aiden took a seat at their table and watched Raven dance with the older man. She was playing the part perfectly, a lot better than he had expected.

When the dance was over she made her way back over to Spot. "he'd like a meeting tomorrow morning." She said matter of factly.

Aiden grinned. "Well done." He gestured for her to join him at the table. Dinner was being served soon. "So where'd you grow up?" He asked her to be polite as salad was being served.

"Me? Well...mostly in the orphanage. My mother died when I was a toddler." She explained as she placed her napkin on her lap.

He blinked at her. "Then how come you were at the theater?"

"when I was old enough, your grandfather came and got me. My mom was a ballerina," she said with a shrug, "he thought I'd have natural talent. So I lived at the ballet school until I was 18."

Aiden wasn't surprised. "His whole life was that theater. He was less of a kind man than needing to be the best."

Rae nodded and then chewed her bottom lip, "He...knew what he wanted from you." She said. She didn't know another way to put it. "It must have been hard, growing up with a grandfather like that. He was very pushy."

"Yeah, it was." She said with a huge smiled. "Mr. Helberg asked if I came with the theatre." She glanced across the table at him, still smiling although it didn't match her eyes. She looked back at Spot.

"Yes..." Rae said, "but some men...well, some men of high social standing think we're all whores and vagrants. It never actually accured to him that I could be a lady." She smirked at Spot.

"Ah. And you are a lady?" Aiden repeated, raising his brow at her.
