Hammer inwardly flinched. Sometimes he hated how his past almost always caught up with him.
"It's pretty hard being an apprentice when you've just been released from jail," he replied just us bluntly.

"Picks said she'll help me get an apprenticeship somewhere," he explained, actually surprised that Tristan didn't flinch or question his past. He suddenly approved of the guy.
