She gave him a smile and then chuckled shaking her head, "I'm still small... sometimes when I'm not laid up anyway, I'll go somewhere and just find a tree and sleep there. Wrap up in a blanket, off the ground..." She was a tiny thing for such a powerhouse, but that was Brooklyn.

"I didn't get caught," he muttered, his anger rising. "I was framed. By one of my friends too. That bastard pinned it all on me and I couldn't do a thing. His Dad was the judge. Now, guess who he picked to go to jail."

She reached out and touched his arm, trying to calm him down and she nodded her head. "I get it. I get it. You don't have to say anymore than that to me. I believe you." Just because of what she knew from his actions in their acquaintance.
