Vi knew that too, sure they fought like crazy but they were friends too. She tugged at his shirt as she spoke, shaking her head, "It'd break me heart if ya died.... do ya understand?" She didn't know how else to say it-- or to react to it. If he had meant it, she just turned him away because she thought it was a game to him. But if it wasn't... that changed everything.

She kissed him back, her arms going around his shoulders. One person she could scream at, one person she didn't have too all the time. She berated him, argued with him and at the same time she understood him. Under it all.
