A little give a little take

Tristan smirked across the table at Jimmy who looked like he was about to pass out. He was losing a lot of money and Tristan happened to be winning a lot of money. Tristan removed the cigarette from his mouth and then smirked.

"You're turn," He said. Jimmy placed two cards down on the table.

Spot walked in with Piper on his heels. "does she belong to one of you?"

Piper glared and tore her arm away from his grasp. "Get off me"

Jimmy stared up at her with surprise. "I guess me..."

"No shit?" Tristan asked him, he sat back in his chair and crossed his arms. Jimmy glared at him.

"She's fine..." Jimmy stood up and then asked her, "What're you doing here?"

"wandering around the docks and causing an absolute riot," spot interjected. "you'd think none of the guys have seen a woman before."

Piper glared. "pain in the ass to find you jimmy." she sighed. "should we talk somewhere alone or....?"

"Nah, these are the guys who are gonna take care of anything anyways," He motioned for her to have a seat.

"Well I could see why they was acting like a buncha apes," Tristan said with a smirk.

Piper gave Tristan a cold look. "And who may you be? The infamous Spot Conlon?"

"Nah, that would be me," Spot said, amused, and took a seat next to her. "Nice to meetcha."

Piper snorted, looking at him. "You're just a scrawny kid."

"And you look like a dumb broad, but we know that ain't all there is, is there?" Spot shot back.

Tristan burst out laughing, "Can't never be too sure Spot, she did just insult you."

Jimmy smirked, "Not a good idea if you want him to help you take down Priest."

Piper raised an eyebrow at Spot, who was this close to throwing her out. "Sorry." She muttered, figuring it was never a good thing to insult anyone she didn't know.

"Just watch your damn mouth." Spot lit up a cigarette. "And spill while I still got the patience to sit here."

Piper glared at him. "Priest is off your radar. We're taking care of it, and it aint kid stuff." She sighed, and rubbed her neck.

"As for Blackjack, he's all hung up on some girl," Piper said. She looked at Jimmy. "I slipped something in his drink, he's gonna be out sick for a few weeks now. He won't be able to get ut of bed, nor does he remember meeting me. He liked me right away, but I got bigger fish to fry. Debt repaid."

"You poisoned him?" Tristan asked her and then grinned, "She is good."

"See? I knew she was bad news," Jimmy remarked. "Alright so he ain't gonna know that you found out nothing but he's still gonna come round looking for this girl. It ain't Rae is it? Otherwise he woulda left it alone. Did you get her name?"

"Isa or something? Does that name mean something to you?" Piper asked, stealing a cigarette from Spot.

Tristan glanced between Spot and Jimmy. Course he'd want Isa back, she was probably the best in the whole gang.

"Thanks Piper," Jimmy said quietly.

Piper noticed the change in mood among the brooklyn boys. "who is this girl?"

"She's...a good friend..." Jimmy said with a shrug.

Tristan lit up a smoke and then leaned back in his chair. This was bullshit.

Spot sighed. "what's our move now?" he asked. "don't tell Isa she'll just turn herself in."

Piper tucked some hair behind her ear. "how does he know this girl lives here? Just tell him she's long gone."

"cause he took Rae from here thinking she was Isa," jimmy said with a sigh. He rubbed his temples.

"you think they'd be stupid enough to think she just up and left?" Tristan asked her.
