Lillian just nodded as she walked down the hallway. Hopefully he saw it.
When she reached the bathroom, she had no desire to look in the mirror. But, since mirrors are pretty prominent in bathrooms, she really had no choice.
"Oh, god..." She moaned before reaching for the toothbrush and toothpaste. Her mascara was smeared to the point of no return and her hair was just all over the place.

Ryan peeked down the hallway, making sure that Lillian found the bathroom with no difficulty. When he saw that she was in the right direction, he headed over towards the kitchen, taking out the aspirin and blender, ready to make his somewhat famous hangover drink.

After brushing her teeth vigorously, she washed her face with some soap and tamed her hair with a brush she found in the drawer.
As she stepped back into the hallway, heading to the kitchen, she called out, "Warning. A girl is coming into your kitchen that looks vaguely like Lillian Wellsley. I swear, it's really me."

Hearing Lillian's announcement, Ryan smirked and shouted, "Good. 'Cause Ryan Lane isn't up for seeing anything else but Lillian Wellsley right now."
That should be good. He promptly turned off the blender, grabbed a clean cup from the shelf and began pouring. "Now, drink this. It'll make you feel better," he said, turning around to face her. He smiled, glad to see the Lillian that he knew, the girl without any makeup on and only her personality to fall on. He was happy to have her here. He'd hide her away from everyone if only he could.

Lillian took the cup obediently and took a huge gulp.
"...I'm not even gonna ask what's in this." She said before pinching her nose and taking another drink.
After downing about half the drink, Lillian sighed heavily. "Hey, Ry... I've been thinking about something."

"That you're hungry?" he smiled, already pulling out eggs and bacon out of the refrigerator.

"Well, that, too." She replied, letting out a somewhat nervous laugh.
Lillian had always been a 'seize the day' kind of person. That's how her career got started, because she saw opportunities and grabbed them. She saw one now, and all she could really do was hope it didn't turn out horribly.
"Uhm, I really don't think I can be just friends with you."

Ryan was in the process of making scrambled eggs, cracking them against the side of the bowl one by one. Once he heard Lillian's comment, he stopped mid-crack and looked directly at her. Of course, he would love to be more than friends but this needed more thinking. There was her career to worry about and all the fuss that came with it.
"Are you sure that's what you want, Lillian?" he asked after a couple moments, looking at her with concern.

Lillian burst out laughing.
"Oh, Ryan. I tell you that I have feelings for you, and that's your response? You've always been too logical for your own good."

"No, really, I'm serious," he said, walking over to her and taking her hands. "We've never gone that road and maybe it's 'cause we're all grown up now, I don't know... but I don't want to throw this friendship away if we ruined it from dating each other. I don't want to lose you."
Ryan was as serious as he's ever been. He loved the girl to death and he didn't want to hurt her. He couldn't bear thinking that he could be the one making her miserable.

"Well, we're never going to know if we don't try." Lillian looked up at him, all the laughter gone from her expression.
"I don't want to lose you either, especially after getting you back just yesterday. But... I can't ignore what I feel inside, and frankly I don't want to."

Ryan sighed, searching her face for reassurance that things would be okay. Ultimately, he was worried for her and just wanted her to be happy. He gently kissed her cheek and smiled, "As long as you're sure."

Lillian furrowed her brow.
"I'm sure, yes. But are you?"

"I just don't want to lose you," he finally said after a couple minutes, voicing his opinion. It was true and he wanted to let her know.

Lillian sighed and hung her head.
"I know. But, as much as a person like me can promise something, I promise you won't. You won't lose me."
