"True," laughed Ershey, walking inside Tibby's. A waiter ushered them over towards a table, seating them down and handing them their menus (as if they needed to look at them).
"I met a couple more newsies the past couple days," she said once they were sitting down and comfortable. "Figured it wouldn't hurt to know more people around here."

"Sapphy painted my nails," she said proudly, showing him her newly painted hands. "You know Kennedy? I met her when I was gettin' papes one mornin'. Then, these two sort of weird kids... Goblin and Wraith? Oh, and I met Leo at Irving Hall when I passed by one night."

"Ah." Mush answered, busying himself with the menu. So, she had met some boys. Was that why she was acting a bit... Distracted?

"Somethin' wrong?" asked Ershey after a couple moments, noticing Mush look at the menu for the first time since she's known him. She thought he knew that thing like the palm of his hand.

"I do sometimes..." Mush couldn't stop thinking about Ershey flirting with Goblin or Leo. Leo was a good looking dude AND he could speak Spanish. The ladies probably loved it.

Ershey couldn't help but look at him in amusement, chuckling softly. "They're nothin', Mush. Are you... jealous?"
